  • my brother showed me this

  • ITS JOHN! OMG HOW CAN U DONT SEE IT? 100% JOhn VOICE!

  • Obviously john singing but I can definitely imagine George singing it.

  • Joooohn!!!!!!! I love you!

  • I love this song so freakin' much.

  • The Beatles were masters when it came to covering other artists songs, that also showed the genius that they had when it came making a song their own!!!

  • Okay...JOHN SINGS THIS AND JOHN SINGS TO KNOW HER IS TO LOVE HER...O.B.V.I.O.U.S.

  • piękne

  • John Lennon was a great singer if not one of the greatest !

  • This really reminds me of "Every Man Has A Woman Who Loves Him." I know that's Yoko tune, but still.

  • This was actually done by Ann Margret first. She had a marginal success . The Beatles only performed it at live shows for a fill song.

In other news, my father was sure the Beatles would be great and bought tickets for he, my sister and myself. So, my first concert ticket was the Beatles in Portland, Oregon. I was about 10 yrs old lol !

  • definetly the best song I ever heart! Thanx for posting...

  • super bluesyy, George's guitar is soooo coool in this one.

  • @KGBfbiSECUpolitica ..................in NOrmal EnGLISh, PLeaSe?

  • WOW!!! This is too sweeeeeeeeeeeeet!! Love John's vocal and the bluesiness of the number. Makes me wish they had done more bluesy stuff! RIP John. You had a far greater voice than you ever gave yourself credit for. Thank you for posting this, hon'.

  • R.I.P. JOHN LENNON

  • One of my favorites in the old days

  • This sounds like it could have been on a Beatles EP between the "Please Please Me" and "With The Beatles" albums.

  • God this song is amazing. John's voice is just like "grr" and George's guitar sound excellent. I wanna know where i can buy this album on LP.

  • @gamemasterzoomzoomom just point your browser to amazon.com to find this album

  • shame on me, it`s the first time i`m listening this song..

but lucky me, it just made my day! I love it :)

  • CUALQUIER DUDA, PREGUNTARSELO A RINGO STARR O PAUL MC CARTNEY.

  • Underrated song.

  • Sound soo Blues man ... Beatles were excellent in every types of music !

  • this version always remembers me of the seaside =)

  • Okay that's just annoying, wtf language are you typing in!?

  • Also, don't be racist. KThxbai.

  • I love the sound, has a Moody Blues sound to it, but Beatlesy at the same time!

  • I know what you mean. The main riff sounds like a part of the solo of the Moodies 'Go Now'.Actually the whole song (the way The Beatles do it) sounds sort of similar to Go Now (but that came later)

  • Ya. It`s kinda weird, lol!

  • lleah

  • great song!

  • What a great song- i HAVE TO ADMIT I PREFER THE ORIGINAL aNN-mARGRET VERSION. MORE HAUNTING AND SENSUOUS. BUT THE BEATLES STILL RULE-- AND SO DOES ANN-MARGRET!!!!

  • I never heard the Ann Margret version before. I have always loved this song, but was unaware of its roots. Thanks so much for pointing out Ann also sang it, I will definitely check it out now. :)

  • is john !

  • It´s very strange the beatles with similar voices are death another legend of the best band of the universe

  • John lead vocal; Paul and George backing -- this was a standard Beatle vocal configuration in the early days before they began double and triple tracking their own vocals at Abbey Road. These early songs always remind of what a tight band it was before it went into the studio and began playing crowds to loud to hear themselves in. It is what they were initially hoping to "get back" in what became known as the Let it be sessions.

  • I love this song.

  • It is John, and no more argument about it! read the brochure to the disc!

  • Sin temor a equivocarme, es John el que canta en esta cancion, y soy una conocedora.

  • If someone called John a baby in front of me, I would knock them out...

  • so would we all <3

  • John is a baby. My baby. ;)

  • O',The Pleasures of Memory , to know her was to love her. Samuel Rogers coined the phrase.Phil Spector sang it 1st with the Teddybears,to know him is to love him. But now the debate is which Beatle sung To know her is to love her? Better ask George Martin.

  • I heard the writer of this song made a few hundred thousand dollars just from this song appearing on the BBC Sessions album.

    thank you for posting.

    Ram on,

    Joe.

  • This is an incredible version of this song! I love the two bluesy solo spots between verses.

  • This is a remake?

  • I didn't know that either

  • yes thios is a remake of Ann-Margrets version that hit the charts 2 years earlier. other than her 3 disco hits this was her only top charting single

  • this is so smooth, lennons voice, and georges guitar sounds like hendrix

  • @mikeymodavis123 Hendrix sounds like Harrison...lol... i agree with you though

  • wow great song!!! totally perfect for them!!!

  • This is such an amazing son

  • THIS WAS ONE OF ANN-MARGRETS CHART TOPPING SINGLES IN THE EARLY 60'S ON RCA--WHAT A TREAT TO HEAR THE BEATLES DO A COVER OF HER SONG-- THANKS FOR POSTING. i JUST HEARD THIS ON A RE-RELEASE OF AN ANN-MARGRET CD

  • That's a great song. I was looking for it and I'm glad you posted it 3 days ago, lol! Thank you sooo much. Very Lennon, you can hear even in this early song just how "Lennon" it is, even although it's a cover. He had his own uniqueness going.

  • I love John's singing; this one and "To Know Her Is To Love Her" are my absolute favs...

  • Are you sure??? :)

It sounds like him in the BBC tapes, the Decca audition, and he covered it again in the 70s for his Rock n' Roll album.

  • Yes, I'm sure as HELL. I would know George's voice any day. I know it's his.

  • i'm pretty sure john sings on that one.

  • No it isn't george. i would seriously bet my life that it's john

  • no, it's not George, it's JOHN, sorry, but it's kinda obvious...

  • Yep.

  • sí, es obvio en verdad, ES JOHN

  • @beatlefanatic272

It is John can tell with the slightly more wined voice Love his voice btw so not knocking it just not any other way to describe it haha

  • well i'd bet my life it's john. no affense or anything. it is nice to hear about a fellow beatles fan but seriously. it's john

  • @bluemeanie81 It's John singing To Know Her Is To Love Her.

  • @jillian51894 George does sing in To Know Her Is To Love Her... but only harmony backup with Paul. John sings the lead.

  • @jillian51894 Please! John sings that one and you should know that

  • @bluemeanie81 i totally agree they are the best on this album.

  • @bluemeanie81 "To know her is to love her" was sung by Paul, not John..

  • @maurus1965 nope, it was certainly sung by John(:

  • @maurus1965 No. It was sung by John.

  • @drrobertoboogie97

"I Just Don't Understand" is jhon singing, and "To love her is to love her" is Paul singing. TRust me

  • @maurus1965 No. To Know Her is To Love Her is John singing. Trust me

  • @drrobertoboogie97

I'm getting older.....i've listened to it now and its John of course! Bad memory....and you're right
