I think somethingcorporate said it earlier, and I checked and I think thats right.

Looking at the preview where she asks Naomi to the ball and this one, Emily is still in her Katie get-up -> thus the confusion with the mole with both previews... so it must be that she's upset with Naomi, and she's run out of wherever the two were in a hurry, and then meets up with Thomas. 'Cause she's also baring the make-up to make her look bruised (as Katie is) in both scenes.

i adore thomas and wish we'd seen more of him. katie and all her homophobic comments throughout the series (and probably em's life) have made emily so scared to tell anyone she's gay. it's great to see how everyone's been really nonchalant about it ( jj, thomas, freddie, effy via naomi, etc). not to be all psa about it but this is why using derogatory language like 'that is so gay' is hurtful to people still figuring out their sexuality.
