my brother would always take the side path on the left that leads to an herb and a woman with her back to you. he'd kill the woman which would lead to them attacking, then duck in the nearest house which wasn't the one with the shotgun. the house is small and has only 2 entrances which helps keep you from getting surrounded. this also prevents Dr. Salvador aka chainsaw guy from appearing until later. it's the only way I could get past this. my bro's way better than I am at it
