  • seems so appropriate this morning............lol, still sounds great!

  • he's a very under rated singer- on this he's on the money. excellent.

  • Great Song mate

  • If you think about it this guy is just being a huge tool. All this man and pretty lady want to know is what time it is. Instead of a straight answer he gives them sermon about how everybody is dying, so who cares? Maybe that's why people are pushing and shoving past him to beat the clock. There's stuff to do before time runs out and all you're doing is standing in the middle of a city street, which if you think about it, probably means he's more than likely the next to run out of time.

  • @barton8807 He got the titile song as a TEENAGER in Brooklyn, walking down a street there and a gentleman came out of movie theater and Lamm asked the man, ' Excuse sir but do you happen to have the time,?-back when kids respected their elders, had manners and got outside once in a while, instead of staring at a TV screen-and the man replied, ' Does anybody really know what time it is?' So Lighten Up!

    Still like the song though.

  • Come on Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Take these guys

  • Love you guys....OMG. I've been a fan since 1975. Love you all. I've seen you 5 times in concert......

  • I don't think Robert Lamm ever ages does he? Another Dick Clark. Lee makes hitting those high notes so easy. I could never hit that high. Just didn't have the lip for it.

  • how good is this fantastic band! guys your legends!

  • great number, brings back memories from when i was in sydney aus travelling at 17yrs of age! im now 57.omg!

  • Philip Fenech-Malta

This song still makes me feel good as it did when we lived it in 1969 and the 70's..Quality music at its best..What a Groove ! What a band..So glad to have lived all their albums and still doing so !!! Bless all the generation that made a difference :"We are Star Dust we are Golden"..Flower children live with Peace in their hearts.Love you all Xxx

  • Nice performance, just listen to how all instruments blend perfectly together on this one... I particularly like the interesting bass line and of course the trombones.

    Thanks for adding it !

  • It's amazing to see this and compare it to performances of them when they were younger. They had a very ambitious and hungry sound (yet still more advanced and polished than the average band at the time) and they progressed into a more polished sound ... This footage is great, very honest and shows how they have really perfected their performance with experience. You can't be too young or too old to have missed this, it's timeless and timeless music is something everybody can/should relate to.

  • That last sentence...you're really good at closing up a paragraph.

Yes, I agree...it is timeless music. I've listened to this song countless times on my dad's radio when I was five years old. Twelve years later, I recalled of a time where I listened to songs that I've enjoyed listening to but didn't know what it was. This was one of them. I ALWAYS hummed a similar tune during those twelve years and didn't know what it was. I am satisfied at last.

    What a classy song.

  • What a band, thes best band on this planet, doubt about that, today´¨s bands a crap compare to chicago,a true american band.

  • Great music and great memeories . Nothing like the 70's !!!

  • I wonder how many times Robert Lamm has performed this song?

    Several hundred I suppose.

  • He can't perform it TOO many times as far as I'm concerned. I always feel better after hearing this song. The melody, the lyrics...Great musicianship and wonderful memories!

  • @libralady1010 Me too. I will never tire of this song...or Chicago and EWF. Happiness is relative to time and place. I love the lyrics..."a pretty lady looked at her diamond watch and said ok...does anybody know what time it is, does anybody really care?" Perfect. In other words..who gives a s--t... Just enjoy life, for the here and now.

  • @flytommy1 It is a TRUE classic. He's such a wonderful singer ,songwriter and very polite. Something you don't see these days with young, musical groups or most musicians. You can PLAY this music in front of your kids. There's no profanity, talk of killing or trying to insult you in a very crude manner.

  • @libralady1010 You are so right!! One of the best bands of all time. Thanks for posting.

  • wonderful -just wonderful-thanks for posting and bringing back memories

  • GO TROMBONE!

  • Have three generations that absolutely love this band.My folks like it I think because of the horns, the sentimentality re: WWII

And we like it..well WE ALL like it. It's GREAT MUSIC! The Beatles are the only other band where our three generations all agree on something! Keep it to myself that Robert Lamm is HOT. The man just gets better and better looking. What is the secret? Great talent and work ethic probably have something to do with it!

  • One of the best bands of that time era and today still!!!

  • Can Robert Lamm be any hotter??? He seems to get better with age...

  • He's as hot as they gets. Oh yea, he does get

better with age. I wonder how old he really is?

  • Amen to that....

  • Yes, he's very attractive. And oh yes...HOT! Believe it or not,he will be 64 on October 13Just reaffirms: When you love what you're doing, are extremely gifted, blessed musically and bring so much joy to so MANY people, while giving back your special gift, you'll never be old. He's always having so much fun ALL THE TIME! How wonderful for him...and for us he found his niche' early on. The man has a great work ethic, too. Gives it his all ALWAYS. Has such a great show. Never seen him less than 100%

  • Exelente, maravilloso, único, imperesionante, disfrutenlo por favor

  • wonderful!

  • Awesome!
