  • Based on this video I took my family on this trip. We loved everything about it althought the fishing was poor.

  • @jdcollins43 yes..fishing should be poor now that the lakes are getting too warm and such...lakes are dying =/

  • hey! its us from the brewery that recognized you from this vid! we had a great time! brought way too much stuff, waited out a lighting storm, argued, laughed, cried, but more importantly, got broke off by a monster trout right at the spot you told us to try for em :-) def gonna remember that one.

    take care, john

  • The portage from String Lake to Leigh Lake is just over 100 yards, slightly up hill. I doubt there are potties. The back country campsites are pretty remote. Check at the Moose or South Jenny lake vistor's center when you get your permit.

  • Very good. How long is the portage and is there a potty at the group site. We have a reservation there this summer.

  • Thanks for sharing ! : )

  • just beautiful

  • Words can hardly express how much I love that whole GTNP area.

  • great vid!

  • Do you run into lots of bears around there? Just concerned after what happened in soda butte campground this week.

  • I want to feel some of that water! I would have jump already if i was there.. Someday i'll do a photoshoot there

  • Great video! This brings back fine memories. You might want to hang your food up in a tree away from your campsite. I saw bear and large cat tracks around there.

    Beautiful land!

  • Hey, great video, narration, and camera work. In planning my visit there in 2010, I've looked at many hundred videos to see the lay of the land and yours was the first and only to hit the nail on the head as to what I've been looking for. Thanks for the extremely talented work.

  • Looks beautiful, but possibly dangerous due to a high population of rednecks.

I wouldn't feel safe without a high power rifle.

  • Peaceful video. Thanks for posting
