I am an independent. If Hillary Clinton will not be nominee, i will go republican. I believe many independent who are inclined to vote for democrats will go republican because of you. Whats wrong if President Clinton speaks out his mind? What do you think you are doing now?
Why would you go and do a thing like that? I hope you have changed your mind. We are in a much bigger fight and we have to come together as one to fight it.
you must be either racist or dont care about the current state of the economy to vote for mcCain that is the dumbest thing ever, hillary is done get over it...
I agree, we need change, we need hope. but I believe this endorsement may be nothing more then Teddy trying to climb on to the train that is already headed in the right direction with nothing more then the hopes that He will finally be able to regain the influence and control over the party that he once enjoyed when he was looked at as the little brother more then the senator. This senator from Illinois, what is it that makes him such an inspiration,
I was fortunate enough to be in the front row for this speech, and I can tell you that Sen. Kennedy has not been that fired up in a long time. You could see the years melt away as he spoke about how inspired he was by Obama. I feel a monumental shift in the Democratic Party. Obama is the right leader at the right time.
Memories! I hope my mom got to watch this, even tho' she is in her last stages of Alzheimer's I can hear her talking about how handsome Senator Kennedy is with his snow white hair. I even caught a bit of that Boston accent from JFK days. Great speech and love Patrick's enthusiasm also.
Change? Promises, promises, blah blah blah!!! You think after Obama is in, the world will change.....nothing is going to change....my prediction: terror attacks will slowly but surely come upon us. Mock my words you will fall into the trap again! Ending the war is not going to happend, we need to get out as soon as possible and stay out. The only way you will get change is if we promote peace not power, security, honor, hope and courage.
Wow, he was almost speaking directly to the Clintons at times. This speech makes Hillary's message of "change" sound hollow. If Americans desperately want to change politics and change the course of the country, Obama's brand of change sounds a lot more promising right now.
omg. this is such an incredible speech on so many levels. what a truly amazing endorsement to receive. this definitely put in perspective how significant this election really is.
I always knew that Ted Kennedy would be a great President. His time has passed. But he carried the torch of his fallen brothers and has passed it on to the younger generation.
change? he still promotes WAR people! talk, talk, talk....sounds good right...but its only talk and We Americans blah blah blah promises, glory and honor..it goes on and on. C'mon people do the research....what is this "I best President ever" bullshit.....security my ass....promote peace and you will get peace!!!
I beg you please open your mind to what Ron Paul has to say.
Moved to tears. If you're old enough to remember the high level of hope and the extreme pain and grief from the loss of JFK, how could you watch this whole thing and not get a little teary-eyed. Sen. Obama is so humble that he is deserving of these endorsements. The Clinton era had it's benefits, yet it is over. Time to move on. Time to unite the Party around Sen. Obama who will be the Dem nominee. With Obama as POTUS, the UNITED States of America will be well-served.
is this some kind of cruel joke? i guess some democrats have no intention of winning the white house. what's on obama's resume anyway? media really boosted him too much and he's the most over rated candidate.
Ted Kennedys speech left me speechless what a great endorsement and seeing Caroline and Patrick up there just solidified the fact that a change is comming. Just one thought I wonder if the thought of a Kennedy for a vice presidential candidate would really finish off billary.
Symbolically this was immense. But in way of votes I feel it will do very little. They say Washington is resistent to change, well so are the American people. The Clintons are nearly invincible. They have such a devoted democratic base that despite Obama's inspiring tone of change, he wont be able to break into the Clintons stronghold nationally. I want to believe but im too cynical when it comes to the America.
Symbolically it was immense. Unfortunately, it means very little right now in way of votes. The Clintons is nearly invincible. They just have too much of a devoted base of democrats that regardless of how much Obama is as a inspirational figure, he wont be able to crack into that Clinton stronghold nationally.
to be honest i use to think low of American people. the reason is they voted the same idiot 2ice...lol. think abt it...an idiot being a president 2ice in a country like america, after this whole obama thing and also watching this video i apologize to all of u 4 being an ignorant. looks like the racist and ignorant race is dying out. i hope america stays that way all the time.
Kennedy the only one to run against a sitting President in his own party..really impressive. Obama does not hold a candle in the wind to JFK much less a torch being passed on.
Wow. My traditionally conservative mom has always bashed Ted Kennedy, and being a kid who didn't watch much C-SPAN, I blindly wrote him off... but this man is TRULY inspiring, and his firey powerhouse of an endorsement of Obama literally got me teared up a bit. THIS is American spirit and positivity.
This is not only historical but heaven sent. Please people make this happen! Vote for Obama in 2008.Win this country back from the corporate scumbags in DC.
I am really impressed with how much Sen. Kennedy but more importantly Caroline has come forward to support Obama. It was very gracias and authentic. There is a change in the air, it is time to bring the United States together, and more importantly bring back the respect from the World. Someone who wants to make change instead fanning the soap opera of Republicans and Democrats. Hillary is polarizing and is more aligned with GWB than being her own woman.
I concur. The Clintons always wanted the endorsements of the Kennedys who were the faces of the youht movement in the 60s, and to have them give it to Obama is shocking to them-but Barack is inspiring. Why is it wrong to stand for a man that gives you hope when you hear him speak? Barack is a man who can change and turn around the nonsense in Washington D. C., and it makes me so excited that I am a young lady apart this.
Down with capitalism, down with Neocons and Bush's fascist juggernaut machine of plunder and exploitation against the people of this world, no more neocons in the white house please !!
Awesome speech. Obama is a great hope for the U.S. I like that he opposed the war in Iraq from the beginning. I hope he does something about global warming, too. It's a big concern to me of what might happen to planet earth if change doesn't happen soon. Barack Obama 2008. He will bring inspiration and bring hope. :)
The phrase "the better angels of our nature" is taken from Lincoln's inauguration address. Ted is a truly gifted speaker, this is a pleasure to listen to (I'm on round three).

Its all represented here. Americas past, Americas present and Americas future. Grasp the moment, for America is once again headed for the greatness of her destiny.
This was a truly inspired speech given by a great man (Senator Ted Kennedy) who loves America and who has always fought for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. A speech that endorses Barack Obama, a man of great vision and even greater promise; a man who if given the chance can push us, the American people, to reach our full potential.
Ted Kennedy, what a great man & what a great speech! These people have dedicated their lives to helping people, we should all be so thankful. California votes Feb. 5th, can't wait to cast my vote for a person with integrity, Barack Obama!
This was an amazing speech. Obama is such a good speaker, but I feel like this was almost as good, if not equal to Obama's victory speech in SC. Kennedy explains exactly I'm supporting Obama, and he delivers the lines so well. When he said Obama will be "ready on day 1" i was cheering, even though i'm in my apt!
Thank you Senator, Congressman, and Caroline Kennedy for having the vision and political courage to endorse Senator Obama. I believe we will all become hopeful and inspired to lift the USA up from these dark and unsure years of recent past.
Healthcare for all should pass, if not for us Americans, but in honor of the 45 year fight for healthcare by Senator Kennedy! Long overdue!
