Well, they are official. The OVAs were made by the same people as the anime. And, if the Wallance/Willis movie is discarded, seeing the huge mess it is, we have the Wonderswan games, that explain the scene of Ken getting the dark spore, and they are the only way Ryo makes sense. And we have Magnadramon there, too. As well as megas for all the cast (although Vikemon does not make much sense as an evo for Shakkoumon, but oh well, it's the only thing that evolves from him)

It makes more sense, Vikemon keeps the Viking/Walrus theme more that Plesiomon. Then again, it's the only Mega Shakkoumon can evolve into. And it's not like going from Ankylosaurus to Clay Angel makes much sense, either (remember, Paildramon, Silphymon and Shakkoumon are the natural Ultimates/Perfects of their lines, even without DNA evo. For Wormmon, we have Dinobeemon, which looks like Paildramon gone wrong. As in The Fly wrong)...

Oh well, at least, Plesiomon is a better option that M-Angemo
