@RafflesGT Definition of taig = Taig is a derogatory term for an Irish Catholic. It is mainly used by sectarian loyalists in Northern Ireland and Scotland. It has been used in sectarian slogans such as "Kill All Taigs" (KAT), "All Taigs Are Targets" (ATAT) and "Any Taig Will Do". The latter was painted on murals by loyalist paramilitary prisoners during "The Troubles" and implied that all Irish Catholics were legitimate targets

@CapitalBhoy78 Much as you'd love that, it does not mean Catholic. It could be from an Irish surname Teague, or forename Tadghe. Or it could be from the Scots gaelic word 'Taigh' meaning hotel, ie referring to Irish who came after the potato famine and lived in hotels or inns. But there is no religious connotation, sorry, I know how dissapointed and upset you must be not to be a victim of religious persecution.
