Oh, I am SO sorry to hear about your 20 year old kitty!! I had to put down my 17 year old a couple of weeks ago, and though she will forever be in my heart, it sure doesn't hurt to have a cute little kitten to help with the loss ... Kittens who are weaned by humans (by being taken away from their moms) instead of naturally often will go through a 'suck on buttons stuff for comfort' phase. (Some normally weaned cats do it too.)
