Why do the police come over and tell you to stop filming if you are in your right to do so? Also, When asked, they do not even know the law they are quoting and have to phone up and find out. I thought they should at least know a law if they are going to use it. I checked this law and it does not matter that you were in your own garden. You are free to film in a public place whenever you want so the policeman was lying.

I don't know about England but in Scotland it's an offense for them not to tell you their name/badge number when asked so the only one who commited an offense there was them. They are quick enough to film us and invade our privacy,I have noticed that they don't like it when you film them though.A friend of mine went round to give his estranged wife her mail today and she phoned the police and said he was harassing her,he wasn't,I was there,he didn't even speak to her. The police officer who spoke to my friend said that he could arrest him for delivering her mail!!! Who the fuck do they think they are?? They make it up as they go along for sure.
