  • That's a lot of smoke.

  • almost 7 8 days and cant get a similar result, feel so noob :) any chance sharing preset saved settings if possible? temp down, bouyancy down, vorticity up , advection up , still no luck. This is such a great intro u did here. thx again.

  • is there i tut i can follow to do this man

    this is really special

  • It looks really good, but the colors of the title don't clash quite enough with the background to be readable. Still it looks awesome.

  • what program is this????

  • @ThePocoamisto 3ds max + fumeFx

  • Hi I make warhammer 40k videos, and I'm getting to grips with fumefx, and I was just wondering if you could tell me if when using an object source as an emitter can you bing deflectors or still make it react with objects in the animation as you do when using an particle emmiter kind regards rob

  • @robfry2008

I take it you mean deflectors outside the ones offered by the plugin? Not directly no. However, you can use Particle Flow which has it's own FumeFx controller. Add the deflectors to the particle flow system and control the smoke particles from there.

  • @robfry2008

see my Horse Animation on my homepage for an example of Fume with deflectors.

  • where can i download that software...

  • how much memorie did it used??

  • 2 hours on quad core? Ow, my poor dual core would get destroyed xD

  • looks properly realistic. nice work on the physics parameters cpo!

  • why can't Realflow do something like this?

  • @orlanduce Because it's a liquid simulator not a smoke simulator?

  • Really cool effect but the smoke should have stoped at 0:05 so you could like read the title

  • @TheoryPictures Then you should've read it at the start, because the smoke must go on!

  • omg amazing!

  • SICK

  • it's very cinematic!

  • its good, but it doesnt need to go for 30 seconds

  • nice!

  • Impresionante mil Puntos

  • Damn that's nice.

  • how many days it took to render ?

  • great

    Where can I find FumeFx?

  • the internet

  • its actually from a script that someone wrote, kinda cheap to just use theres dude, n its easily recognisable

also i dno wat ur trying to advertise but it prob helps if the text is actually readable, oh and not drowned in smoke, on a shit quality vid..........food for thought

  • So where's this tutorial he's nicked it from then?

  • STOLEN from tutorial. He just changed text and thinks he's cool. So lame & pathetic. Do something by yourself.

  • cool!

  • Why did the lightning not cast any shadows?

  • incredible details,

    congrats

  • Can you make me one like this, just with another text... PLS!!! :'-(

  • i think you need to change the gravity to make it go down

  • yopu add a gravity force, and adjust it. For collision you add a object to fume obj/src list and set it to be solid in the same menu. Look at the tutorials in the fumefx help file for details.

  • how do you make the smoke go down and hit against the object

  • @GameTrailerHDQ /// He just used fume_fx and changed text in included tutorial.

  • Reminds me of Liquid Nitrogen, but overall it looks sweet-

  • one of the best uses for fumefx that i have ever seen, incredible job, you should make a tutorial on how to do this

  • It looks cool but I could barely make out the title before the screen was filled with smoke-ish water. Also its a little long.

  • Please.add a tutorial of Fume FX.

  • It will be very nice

  • Been trying to figure out how to get this look, any tips? :)

  • nice can you tell me the render time

  • 2 hours on a quad core Q6600

  • nice and clean

  • oh and btw this intro was the most spectacular digital made intro i have ever seen =)

  • and exactly the same idea is in the fumeFX gallery so he didnt came up with the idea either ;)

  • how to get that software for free? aye?

  • download µtorrent, go to thepiratebay.

  • lol, i thought tis wus a software, but its just a plugin to 3ds max XDXD my bad XDXD

  • The settings are also the ones making the difference! An image set to 64 million colours + alpha channel looks better than the same image witht the settings of Black'n'White and no alpha channel.

  • @sicksadisticshit

Firstly. We learn to use the software. That is, there's a need of some experiance of "putting the settings". If not, do better.

Secondly, we try to use it in ways, which the designer didn't think it can be used.

Thirdly. We also try to combine different techniques of many "softwares".

Man, I really don't get your point. If you're really thinking like that then why do you use a car, cos what you got to do is "put setting" on it. It goes alone, right?

    Q.

  • what the fuck do you know about?

do you have any idea how much work it takes to actually get something to look the way it should or the way you want to?

have you ever even worked with a 3d software?

the software is not the artist, the artist is, the software is still a fucking tool.

im so sick of every dumbass opinionating their inane thoughts.

  • i agree people are stupid fucks who act like they know everything about everything,

  • I bet if it only took "some settings" to make this, there would be a lot more of these same intros on youtube, which there aren't.

  • It takes very expensive software and some settings.

  • @sicksadisticshit hm...do it yourself, show me the result. want the program? google: 3ds max torrent :)

  • very very nice

  • thats mint

  • Hey..!

I have been looking around for AGEs looking for a FumeFX tutoial showing how to achieve an effect like that with "heavy smoke/steam" but i cant find any :S'

Know were to find one? :O

  • Turn the temp down and the boyancy down and the heat production down. good luck!

  • U can also manage it with turning boyancy down to 0 and gravity 50 or more

  • Like they said... temp down, bouyancy down, lighting is key. Vorticity and Advection up if you want complex, curly smoke. Use an omni above the emitter and use the smoke density and lighting panel to tweak...

  • fume is the bomb :)

  • Are you going for a water feel ? because if so it looks good through fume fx any way.
