almost 7 8 days and cant get a similar result, feel so noob :) any chance sharing preset saved settings if possible? temp down, bouyancy down, vorticity up , advection up , still no luck. This is such a great intro u did here. thx again.
Hi I make warhammer 40k videos, and I'm getting to grips with fumefx, and I was just wondering if you could tell me if when using an object source as an emitter can you bing deflectors or still make it react with objects in the animation as you do when using an particle emmiter kind regards rob
I take it you mean deflectors outside the ones offered by the plugin? Not directly no. However, you can use Particle Flow which has it's own FumeFx controller. Add the deflectors to the particle flow system and control the smoke particles from there.
its actually from a script that someone wrote, kinda cheap to just use theres dude, n its easily recognisable
also i dno wat ur trying to advertise but it prob helps if the text is actually readable, oh and not drowned in smoke, on a shit quality vid..........food for thought
yopu add a gravity force, and adjust it. For collision you add a object to fume obj/src list and set it to be solid in the same menu. Look at the tutorials in the fumefx help file for details.
The settings are also the ones making the difference! An image set to 64 million colours + alpha channel looks better than the same image witht the settings of Black'n'White and no alpha channel.
Firstly. We learn to use the software. That is, there's a need of some experiance of "putting the settings". If not, do better.
Secondly, we try to use it in ways, which the designer didn't think it can be used.
Thirdly. We also try to combine different techniques of many "softwares".
Man, I really don't get your point. If you're really thinking like that then why do you use a car, cos what you got to do is "put setting" on it. It goes alone, right?
I have been looking around for AGEs looking for a FumeFX tutoial showing how to achieve an effect like that with "heavy smoke/steam" but i cant find any :S'
Like they said... temp down, bouyancy down, lighting is key. Vorticity and Advection up if you want complex, curly smoke. Use an omni above the emitter and use the smoke density and lighting panel to tweak...

It looks really good, but the colors of the title don't clash quite enough with the background to be readable. Still it looks awesome.

Really cool effect but the smoke should have stoped at 0:05 so you could like read the title

@TheoryPictures Then you should've read it at the start, because the smoke must go on!

It looks cool but I could barely make out the title before the screen was filled with smoke-ish water. Also its a little long.

bahh, common the software made this alone, the "designer" just have to put in some settings, and the software will do the rest
sicksadisticshit 3 years ago
and exactly the same idea is in the fumeFX gallery so he didnt came up with the idea either ;)

what the fuck do you know about?
do you have any idea how much work it takes to actually get something to look the way it should or the way you want to?
have you ever even worked with a 3d software?
the software is not the artist, the artist is, the software is still a fucking tool.
im so sick of every dumbass opinionating their inane thoughts.

I bet if it only took "some settings" to make this, there would be a lot more of these same intros on youtube, which there aren't.

Turn the temp down and the boyancy down and the heat production down. good luck!
