Now turn to Peter 3 and read that chapter. When you are finished with that turn to Revelation and read that a+6ll the way through because that is the book of the Day of the Lord which is the wrath of God. Read to the end so you can learn what is going to happen to most people. You need to face ALL of God.

The flood from Noah's day destroyed the face of the earth and everything living outside of the ark died. That flood is quite different from the area floods we have now. The water doesn't cover the face of the whole earth like it did that one time. The earth then was destroyed but He says the second time will be by fire-not water. Genesis 6 speaks about fallen angels marrying daughters of men. Verse 6:4 names the Nephilim as the result of this breeding, also called giants. God not only judged the earth with the flood because of violence and evil, but also because man's DNA had become corrupt because of this "inbreeding", except for Noah and his family who remained pure.
