They could just as easily have started a new franchise if they wanted to experiment within their RPG productions and kept the Final Fantasy franchise as it was which would have made both worlds happy. They are going for what they think the market demands (that's why they've made this bad move in the first place) so by complaining we are showing them in which direction they should go. Complaining is pivotal if we want to bring back good FF games.

Actually, they are ruining the FF trademark with these shitty games. The Final Fantasy trademark is defined by the games created back in the 80s an 90s. We - the gamers - hold it very high and it should be Square Enix's core focus to continue down the same path as before, by hiring people with visions that are aligned with the original values of the trademark. Final Fantasy is in my opinion a game that should always be playable on a console, thus it has a beginning, a story, and end. Theyre should be no need to go online to complete the game. Otherwise you have to pay for an internet connection and some people do not have access to an ISP provider.

Now there should be online side-quests that do not include the main story line that would be a great addition. That way people aren’t missing out on what they paid for, a fantasy of epic portions.

By far, Final Fantasy 10 is the most touching and beautiful game I ever played, not to mention the fighting system was exhilirating as well.

I own a 360, and almost regretted buying it, because nothing on it was really that good. then Castlevania Lords of Shadow came out, and FF13. both franchises were better back in the day. same with MK and SF. but, when you look at what else is out now (MLB, Gears, Fallout, new Mario, Alan Wake, Prototype) none of them even compare to what FF was and still is. FF may have given up on the story line a little bit, but maybe its just a phase. i'm sure they'll return to their roots eventually. :)

This looks closer to Everquest than to WoW and that’s a good thing guys. In Everquest there was not a lot of things to help you, it was all on you to find stuff and improve. It was a very challenging experience, and that’s why it was so fun. So stop complaining and let’s give this a chance.

So does Final Fantasy XIII, that belongs to SONY. Microsoft makes some income off of the sales since it is a multiplatforming title. Square Enix also makes more money because of the copies produced for another huge fanbase.

I wouldnt mind seeing more FF remakes for multiplatforms. SONY in my more likely than not opinion probably gave consent to Microsoft. Square Enix themselves probably apporved of this too.
