I was chugging along around 150 km open highway and noticed I wasn't passing the rdx he decided to run with me I passed him but never thought the rdx can run at such high speeds i own a 05 TL
I've driven this suv it's really fast about 6s 0-60 and has excellent handling more like my 335i than a suv and the ride is not that harsh. The MDX is a totally different car, it's slower and heavier than the RDX and has softer suspension. Also I'll get this over the BMW X3 anyday.
@immortal4942 But The MDX Theres Certain Kinds Of Mdx I Drive The Sports Edition V-Tec 3.7 Litters Thinking Of Installing Upgrades. But The Mdx Is A Smooth Ride, Not To Bad But Its Alright When You HIt The Gas Super Hard You Go Flying 0- 40 in 5 or 6 seconds
@immortal4942 7.1 seconds to 60 mph. The timer starts when the car moves its first millimeter, not when the speedometer starts to move. Speedometers lag so if you start your 0-60 time when the needle moves, your 0-60 time will be innacurate and unrealistic. Learn to recognize when the car jolts forward and start the timer then.
@immortal4942 Sure thing. They are quick out of the hole, slow after 70 mph. Had one race me the other day. He kept up from 0-50 mph while I was roasting first and second and then once I got traction I put a car on him almost immediately and he let off.
@BlazinChikn23 actually acura over rated it....the thing is rated at 240HP but it really only dyones 210HP...so yeah it does not get nowhere near 260-270HP...
@freshdip hater i had my rdx dynoed with a nodata reflash and it was 292hp bitch. and stock was 258. this is truly a performance suv the best one out!
@BlazinChikn23 sure its going to show more horsepower when they are only dynoing the front wheels. they didnt even mention anything about the correction method they used. they should of hooked it up to a awd dynapack. so that video is not accurate at all.
it's not his RDX, this guy takes other peoples videos and posts them on here acting like he made them. Since this is my video along with the 0-100 in the 06 MDX, all i did was brake torque it to build up boost, and then took off. it wont let u build full boost by brake torquing it. and when ur driving the car, you can only faintly hear the turbo, its pretty quiet but still nice
I found the best way to brake torque the RDX is not to go full throttle while still on the brake. It seems to retard ignition timing and pull throttle when you do that.
I got the best acceleration runs by brake torquing at about half throttle for two seconds then launch.
now throw this engine in a smaller ride!

I'll never forget the first time trying out my RDX Turbo. I looked like a kid in a candy store. I still look like that every single time I drive it.

I think 6.7 was the fastest for the new MDX, pretty good for a big auto V6 SUV

@azura13liss It has a i-Vtec Turbo 4 cylinder engine.

quicker than a Mazda CX-7
xoquixxoqafxo 1 year ago
@xoquixxoqafxo CX runs on regular. On premium the engine makes identical flywheel HP as the Speed3.
0-60 on the RDX is pretty reasonable. Past 70 acceleration takes a dive... past 80 it's just painful :(

Acura should put this motor in the TSX and call it the Type S but rate it at 300 bhp

TheEuroperules 1 year ago
My acura MDX makes 0-60 MPH in 5.7 seconds in manual, in automatic in just 6.4
remember mdx has a bigger transmission and a much bigger engine with Vtec.
marcelodelagoXD 1 year ago
@marcelodelagoXD MDX doesn't do 5.7 in manual, stop lying..at best the big MDX can do around 7 seconds to 0 to 60.

If you don't have the money to buy a MDX, that's a great choice. But.. performance is not so impressive. Let's say it's "OK", Not slow, not fast.

at 0:06 car puts so much torque on rear wheels: about 70%. btw i clocked this to be 6.4s 0-60 and 20.3s 0-100.

This car actually makes 260-270 hp Acura underrated it a lil too much. If you don't believe me, check TOV Video: 2007 Acura RDX dyno.
