It was always a mistake -- and the cause of some discomfort to audiences -- to present Stewart as on an aesthetic par with Lennox. She's some kind of goddess, he's a hairy unattractive dude. Nevertheless, they were great together.

There was nothing tasteful about the 1980s, but pop music was less manufactured then and the record companies werent sure what pop videos were meant to be like so there was more scope for creativity.

Now they think they have the manufacture of the acts and the marketing of the music and visuals sussed ,

So it s all very mechanical, so it harder to find anything meaning full.

But 80s tasteful on way.

Oddly, this is my favorite Eurythmic song...something about it...i think it says something about self obsession, and ego. Yet, it's embrassing, while, saying shame, to a danceable beat. But, thats the Eurythmics...touching upon many emotions. I love it. Thank you.

this album (this song especially) applies more today than it did at the time it was released....pretty characteristic of eurythmics who really were ahead of their time/timeless. i look at music being released today and nothing picks up where they left off, its really sad.
