  • ...wtf was that

  • @OneManWolfPak Crawling Darwin Babies and an Amazing Rotating First Edition of the Origin. W00t!

  • @rozeboosje boo i demand titties

  • THIS. IS. INTERNETZ!

  • @MegaHazzer123 NO. EXCAEP

  • Okay then.

  • @L00NGB00W :-)

I used this for a long time on my channel as the featured video, just to have something that IS animated but that doesn't immediately bombard the viewer with noise. I have since replaced it with my "Grandeur" video.

  • I give up what's the book?

  • A first edition of Charles Darwin's "On the origin of species". Sadly it's just an image I took off the internet, and not a picture of a personal possession :-)

  • the baby, too, has a young Charles Darwin's head on him :-)

  • eeerm yeah ... this vid is ... how can i say it ?? :) it's a really crazy reality xD

  • [grin]

  • PLEEEEAASE make this into a screensaver!

  • LOL

    How?

  • I can't be troubled with DETAILS!!!!!

All I know is that this video would be a PERFECT screensaver.

I bet Dawkins would have it on his own PC.

  • ;-) - oh - and thanks for the sub

  • Intresting

  • You're WAY too kind [grin]

  • mmmm baby i like the silent intro video idea... it's so quiet in here...!

    peace and love,

    holbrook

  • Yup, it still gives a bit of a visual hook to a channel, but without the noise pollution. Thanks hol!

  • Meant to say "Darwinism". :)

  • Indeed :P

  • intriiiiiiigue

  • Wow, this somehow just made me want to read up on Darwinisn. Good job! LOL

  • I was a cuter baby and your title is true.

    5*****

  • LOL

  • Hahaha, upon entering your channel, for a minute there I thought I was crazy, or at least crazier than I usually am. ;)

  • [grin]

  • It's like Thunderf00t done but Monty Python.

  • :-)

  • The baby Darwins are a little freaky, I still want it as my screen saver though!

  • LOL

  • You know, I cycle past Down House on a regular basis, and it's always nice to see the car park full, bus-loads of tourists and groups of school children. I wonder if the creationist museums will still be going strong 100 years after Hovind &co.

  • Hardly :-)

  • Of course it will, for future studies of Religious Stupidity or lessons on How to Fool a Nation.

  • Hahahahahaaaaaaaa...best autoplay video I have seen so far!

And congratulations on the partnership, well deserved.

  • Cheers

  • Good news indeed, congratulations!

  • Thank you

  • Congrats on partnership :)

  • cheers

  • "[removes tongue from cheek] "

  • Wonderful news! = )

  • Thank you!

  • CON-GRATS PINO! =o)

  • Cheers

  • Btw Pino,

Thanks for using the "young Darwin" in your baby picture. Not that I dislike the "old bearded Darwin", I love that Darwin. It's just that that's the Darwin everyone always uses, but it represents what he looked like well after he did all the things that he's so well known for.

  • Yes indeed

  • Congratulations, now, hurry up and get mega-rich!

    d;^>

  • w00t

  • To quote FakeSagan "you sellout".

Seriously, I congratulate you der Pino of Ireland.

  • Yup. I'm going to be RAKING it in. LOL.

  • If you own that first edition I am so jealous, what I would give! Want to swap a first edition 'Das Capital' by Marx? didn't think so, I think they left the press running too long with Capital, the market is flooded with first editions. Anyway love the video, the little baby Darwin, he is so cute!

  • Alas, no. I just found a nice royalty-free image on it on t' web.

  • I wonder what a good quality first edition of 'origin..' would fetch, if one went up this year it would get crazy money, more than the little baby Darwin could have imagined I bet. Have you ever heard of Alfred Russell Wallace? an associate of Darwin, and another influential natural philosopher.

  • Definitely. Him of the famous "Wallace line" and another person who understood the mechanism of natural selection. He pushed Darwin into finally publishing the work he had sat on for over 20 years :-)

  • Thats the one. What I find cool is that Wallace advocated mesmerism and spiritualism, but still drew the same conclusions on natural selection and adaption. I find this fascinating.

  • He also wasted years of his life trying to show flat earthers how wrong they were. He was one of the first scientists who tried to engage with a mind-set similar to that of a Creationist.

  • At least he tried, that must of took nerve with the type of mind-set he was dealing with. There must have been so many thinker's that drew similar conclusions but stayed silent, scared to rock the boat, as you said, it look's like Darwin was sitting on his idea for whatever reason, and only decided to publish after Wallace sent him a copy of his own research and finding's.

  • congrats on the partnership!

  • Cheers!

  • The title is good.

  • :-)

  • Grats

  • Ta!

  • i wonder what jack thinks about it

  • Why should he care?

  • i just pictured him dispatching a furious prayer " Of all the people, why him lord, WHY?"

just my sense of humour i suppose

  • LOL

  • Congrats!! Now you run with the big dogs!!

  • LOL. Maybe, but right now I'm still a chihuahua

  • omg Pino well done!!!!!!!!!!! n_n

  • :-)

  • WOW!!! CONGRATULATIONS!! I love the banner slogan....and I love the idea of silent visuals set to autoplay.

    Congrats again Pino!

  • Thanks, Pat!

  • Well done, Pino. I'm very glad this happened because I thought you needed thousands and thousands of subscribers before they'd accept you. Without trying to make light of the 1500 you do have I'm glad you've proven that theory wrong.

  • :-)

  • Rock'n.

  • w00t

  • hehehehe

  • [grin]

  • Why would a Darwinian do that? Many Darwinians DO believe in some god. [removes tongue from cheek]

  • I dont think you channel motto is universally true for everyone round here.

  • Round HERE, anyway. LOL

  • do you have a first edition of the origin of species?

  • LOL. I WISH.

  • Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! Thank Glurb!

    Congrats!

  • I can now ramble on indefinitely

  • Congratulations on your partnership.

  • Cheers!

  • So...now Ur a YouTube partner...well, La-Di-Fricken-Da! (JK!) I really don't understand any of this YouTube partner stuff and I'm pretty sure I don't want or need to. (IGNORANCE IS BLISS, IGNORANCE IS BLISS) I don't post videos; I'm more of a YouTube tourist. But it appears to be a wonderful honor, so for that, I applaud U and wish U the most of what it means to be a YouTube partner! & if U need square dancing lessons, I'm Ur girl. Don't laugh - it was part of my childhood education! :)

    <3 <3 <3

  • :-)

The most important thing to me is that I can, IF I choose so, exceed 10 minutes. Apparently I may also make a bit of money out of it, but I'll believe THAT when I see it.

  • Partnership ゲットだぜ! :D

Are you able to post videos longer than 10 minutes now?

(Also: this video reminds me eerily of the old flying toasters screensaver...)

  • I believe so, yes. It won't happen often though.

  • Congrats!

  • huzzah!

  • Congrats on becoming a partner!

  • I can now post tsunamis of epic proportions

  • Wasn't thinking about that, but now that you mention it, you could turn it into an actual tsunami. :p

  • LOL

  • Congrats.

  • yay!

  • Very cool, congratulations! :)

  • :-)

  • congratulations!

  • Cheers

  • Congrats on the partnership!

  • Thank you!

  • pino

how did you do that ?

  • How did I do what?

  • The video animation. i haven't seen those effect on "Windows Movie Maker"

  • I use PowerDirector. This is achieved with something called "Picture in Picture" or PiP for short. In the current version of PD you can have up to 6 animated PiPs

  • ....Now you gotta learn square dancing... doing the 2 step,, swangin your partner by the hand, round and round.. Cowboy boots, 10 gallon hat, SPURS, chaps, a horse, pistol, fistfight, crack somebodies skull with a beer mug, chew tobacco, screw drunk fat girls, .. UH OH!!! misunderstood , that kinda one... ching$

  • LOL. Yeah, right. I'd be pleasantly surprised if I were to receive ONE check of them for the absolute minimum amount after a whole year.

  • No audio? I kiss your feet and shower you with gifts in thanks.

Autoplay videos have been a source of annoyance for me precisely because of the audio. I'm a very tab-happy browser, so when people's less thoughtful channels autoplay, it turns into a horrible cacophony of conflicting sound.

  • Exactly my sentiment ;-)

  • Gratz on partner, Pino.

  • Thank you!

  • Congrats on the Partnership.

  • Cheers

  • "Reality is crazier than you"

Is that the declaration of a challenge? :P

  • LOL

  • I exist in reality

    I am crazy

Therefore reality is crazy because i am in it

Cant argue with that logic :D

  • True. Just because it's crazy doesn't mean it's inconsistent :P

  • Creepy baby

  • I dare say the real Charles was a lot cuter.

  • "Creepy baby "

It would have been even creepier with a big Darwin beard...

  • Yup. I thought that would have gone too far so I found an image of a YOUNG Charles. If you go to Wikipedia for Charles_Darwin you can see the original near the text "while still a young man"
