@1376odin it's an "ethnical and so-called spiritual religion" a religion that is not religious or spiritual, has no faith, this begs the question, what's there to believe in if this is not based on faith. and what's the point of of reading the fairy tale books?
"If we kill a gentile … there is nothing wrong with the murder," &"There is justification for killing babies if it is clear that they will grow up to harm us, and in such a situation they may be harmed deliberately, and not only during combat with adults."
I assume you must be talking about those "racist" Christ-murdering Jews that revere the Talmud which states having sex with a 3 year old is cool: watch?v=quTXwTjgfc0&feature=related
When you say "racist" you're talking about those Jews in Israel that are murdering Palestinian babies by the bushel fucking basket right? That Israel that subcribes to the Torat Ha'Melech by Rabbi Yitzhak Shapira that states ""Non-Jews are "uncompassionate by nature" and should be killed in order to "curb their evil inclinations." &...continued.
And if you go read the "Eaters of the Dead" Based on the Ahmed Iban Fadlahand manuscript, the author (an Arab in 947AD) hated the Norse Men for our courage, of which there is no peer on earth.
Think about how the ancient Europeans would have thought about other races coming into their lands and then you will understand where I am coming from. It is not cruel or unusual to think this way, it is natural.
@MortumDemon One does not need to be born in northern Europe just of northern European decent. It doesn't mean that one can not learn the ways and show respect and honour to it. Asatru is a beautiful way of life

@MortumDemon no. screw political correctness. its a fraud for anyone to say anything other that the truth the way thier eyes see it. period. hospitality. Loki was an outsider accepted as an Asier. all the racist crap david lane infiltrated our people with is destroying the true nature of asatru. it never says to deny anyone anything. only to be righteous. and turning away a man of any race or background who seeks a new path, for any reason, goes against everything we stand for. you can be.
@MortumDemon Anyone can be an Asatruar, but since it is mainly promoted by racist skinheads, not many minorities drift to it. I would like to state that no true Asatruar is racist. In fact, we are as peaceful and open-minded as anyone else and judge a person based only on actions.
@MortumDemon Well that depends on what you mean. For example I'm American. You dont have to be born in eroupe, but generally practitioners of this form of Paganism have ancestral ties to the peoples who originally held these beliefs.
@MortumDemon Some do, some don't, the beliefs, like in the old days, vary greatly.
I would suggest indentifying your own cultural roots and looking into the traditional faith of that group, you may find it to be more right for you. Traditional roots btw do not per se mean your race etc, mostly with what the predecessors of your current people where.
@MortumDemon I respect you for having interest in our peoples history, culture, "religions", etc. but do you and your people a favor, get back to your own past. No offense.

@MortumDemon Well, hopefully you'll see this after a year....but in answer to your question... @MortumDemon 'Universalist' kindreds accept people who are not of northwest European stock. 'Folkish' ones do not. (N.W. Europe includes the British Isles.)
@MortumDemon Well I think that to be a part of asatru you must know of the scandinavian culture. Blood is ofcourse also a big part of it, but if you are of germanic descent and you know absolutly nothing about our culture, then you can't be a part of asatru. If a non-scandinavian person wants to be a part of asatru, then you should study our culture and our history, take a trip to Scandinavia, go out in our nature and try to connect to our land, the mountains, the fields, the woods, everything.

Excellent! Thank you for the response, SSanf. I've had the privelege of attending Asatru and other heathen/pagan seasonal rites in Minnesota and it's always a great time...even when it's cold and rainy. :) Very Noble Virtues, indeed. @lordalastor99 i am my family's chieftain and am sorry to say that while the messager may be different, the message is the same. christian prophecies directly correlate with our own. different names, same beings. same stories, different interpretation. the poetic edda mentions another god who sits in judgement over all others. bible NEVER says theres only 1 god. it says "WE created the heavens with might". ragnarok and revelations trials+tribulations ARE THE SAME STORY. i can go much deeper.
I agree, since becoming a Dianic Wiccan, I have found my Ethical code to be much higher. e.g. I'm trying to become vegan, I've given up smoking, & cut down drastically on the amount I drink.
Yeah that is so true! How do religions critisize Pagans. Pagans invented the Morals in the first place so you could say that Pagans are more Godly then those religions that critisize them.
What do they think is so bad about worshiping the very Earth we all live on and respecting and looking after it.
Why do those religions deny the real truths? Be wary of those religions that preach theirs is the only way? Make you feel bad and fill you with hatred!
Hi. I first saw the NIne Noble Virtues on Stormfront. I think these should taught along with The Ten Commandments. Jews/Christians/Moslems have made the word Pagan and especially Heathen sound like something negative. For example, a Christian calling someone a Pagan is like a Jew calling someone a Gentile. (A mild insult) A Christian calling someone a Heathen is like a Jew calling someone a Goy. (A Larger insult). I'm not here to bash Jews/Christians/Moslems, but show my support for Odinists.
Just remenber this my Heathen Brothers and Sisters the NNV maybe hard to live up to but be trying ot make us more moral than any christian will ever be!!!!!!!!!!!
The nnv are one of the things that turned me on to Asatru. Its right for me because I like how it teaches good values such as honor fidelity and courage. Other religions make people follow blindly in fear and kiss God's ass all the time.
Asatu is a Neopagan movement inspired by Germanic polytheism, in particular the Norse paganism as described in the Eddas and as practiced prior to the Christianization of Scandinavia.
5/5 Favorited. Added to my blod. Indded, all hail! I rather like the NNV. I could be more industrious to be sure, but really, I think these are a practicle set of values which is one reason (of many) I accepted Asatu/ Heathenry as my own religion. I've yet to develope a... erm... my own set practices, but then, people grow into faiths and within them, if the faith is right for them, so I don't have to have a super set *way* of practicing yet. Besides, the heart of the practice is living the NNV.
I have the hardest time with Hospitality. I find it hard to be generous not only with material things but also with things such as recognizing the virtue of others. I must make a conscientious effort to do so. I am also too reclusive and make it hard for others to enter my door.
I must be more industrious because age is trying to overtake ambition.
I'm also a hermit. People, on the whole, tend to be loud, stupid, manipulative, mean, thoughtless and cruel. I tend to like persuing my own goals independent of them.
As for the folkish/universalist debate I was raised Asatru by an Asatru priestess and she always told me that Asatru is of the N.European people, but others are welcome if they choose to embrace our spirituality. I haven't found a more sensible solution to the issue

The NNVs are an excellent guide for a noble life.

I'm also a hermit. People, on the whole, tend to be loud, stupid, manipulative, mean, thoughtless and cruel. I tend to like persuing my own goals independent of them.
But a little hopitality can go a long way.
