The thing with bread machine breads is they are generally smaller loaves and they are so damned yummy that you shouldn't have any leftovers ;) Well, your little bitty loaf would probably last you two weeks but three people in our house...it's gone in a meal.
I think I have the towel thing down now. LOL. I am definitely going to make this. And I will name it Lea. LOL. Post more cooking vids. Love your comments.
very cool o' needy "one" but "two" took beating and stabbing much more interesting and you even showed your knife collection. ok, now i want fresh bread. thanks
lol that's my butter, too! shit stays good a long time, too. for flax seeds it's best to grind em so the inner core gets released. otherwise seeds have a tendency of going thru the body too fast to be used & have the tendency to get trapped in walls of the colon. you can use a coffee grinder on the seeds & use some over cereal or the way i eat it is mixed up in juice.
i use shelled only to get the most nutritious part & avoid the whole sticking to the insides thing. manitoba harvest brand has a good product out. dont use it much, am more into flax. seems to have more lipids.
yeah i would mess w flax more...i used to have flax oil, that i included in the bread...i should have mentioned that! anywho, if my joint vitamin didnt work so well on my bones, i would be on more flax....
turned out nice despite the 'old' yeast, well done lea. i have to agree with the assessment of bread machine bread, although we do use it (fresh bread doesn't last more than a day around wendy anyways ya know). i have had good luck, especially with quick breads, wrapping in plastic wrap then foil. my mother, who bakes tons of bread, stores in the big ziplock bags. meh, personal preference :)
Part one and two are fun and interesting videos I think you did a great job! BTW I have a bread maker and the bread will last for a few days without going bad...
Man, you know what is baking! Very cool. =)

It's been years since I made bread, and I don't recall making it like that LOL.
Atleast I got to watch Lea "butter her bread".
Thanks
;-)

You're right. Bread made in a bread machine tends to go stale faster, plus it's a square little lump.

you may want to play w whiter flours too, they may go better w reg sugar instead of wheat, which wants honey.

Nice job! I Never made a loaf of bread, before.
Are u aware that soy was the 1st food product to be GM'ed. It's in that buttery spread, the wheat to make the flour etc. Can't escape the damn stuff!
Whats the deal with no honey and vegans?
Cheers!
papercuts777 2 years ago
i am shocked that you have never made bread before!
the buttery spread is organic, so GMO free. you may not be able to escape it 100%, but i come damn close, i promise you.
the bees make the honey...vegans must consider bees an animal? i didnt know this before.

most people don't know this, but
'organic' means that animal organs
are ground up and added to the
food...or somebody's old pipe
organ, but what the heck do i
know?
ariestheramone 2 years ago

I can only imagine how great your place smelled after making your home-made bread.
And, what's up with your infatuation with knives lately? Should we be scared?
