we all know the Buick regals from 87 were good at performance but the 88s and 89s were good to you gotta have something new sometimes I have an 89 and i think it drives good i beat a mustang before
i will admit im a sucker for buicks and oldsmobiles haha, gotta love your gm's, and the 88 and 89's werent that bad they can haul some ass, right now im building up my 84 oldsmobile delta 88 brougham, gonna drop in a 350 olds small block and turbo 350 trans soon that should be fun :)
I never said it was mind, if you want me to remove it no problem. But most of the videos I collected over the years. But weird i thought the 3.1 came out in 90.Or maybe some cars got it in 89.
Oh, and I should add that the 3.1 actually came out in 88. The AWD pontiac 6000's were the first cars that were equipped with them. But yes, in 89, the w-body GM's had the option of the 2.8 or the 3.1
No your wrong 89 Regals came out with the standard 2.8 and the optional 3.1 read the 1989 Buick Regal Specifications it will tell you all about the Buick Regal. Buick Regal stopped making 3.8s after 87. than they cam back in 1992 with the 3.8
yea I got a 89' Buick Regal Limited, 2.8L V6 MPFI and it has 219km on it i bought it used withthat much. thecar is perfect, no rust, looks brand new and runs better then any other car i've ever been in. Not much room under the hood towork with though..
thats cool dude I bought my 89 Regal new with the same littler engine you have. The car only has 35,000 miles on it. I save gas because the economy is so bad today
2.8, 3.1MPFI and 3800 Are the virtually bulletproof ones. The 3100SFI's and 3400 are the ones that have the issue. The odd 3800 series II will have the problem too.
This thing has some get-up.

its a 3.1 I can tell that sound from anywhere. Had my 91 regal limited 3.1L w/digi dashes for years. Until a lifter went INTO the head....

It may sound kinda crazy BUT I had the same (well 1990)Regal GS with the Alpine FM Modulated CD Changer with the control in the exact same place.

89 Regals only came out in 2.8 and 3.8... where do you get a 3.1 from? :S
StevieRawks 2 years ago
The early to mid 89s had 2.8 or 3.1 the 3800 was not available until late in the year.

89 Buick Regals were only made with 2.8 and 3.1L in 88 and 89 in 92 they started to make 3.8L and stopped the 2.8L

3100s and 3800s even more prone to this problem. The 2.8 and 3.1 are virtually bulletproof. I have 225k on my 89 Regal GS

I remmeber those gauges from way back. Then if I remember right they moved them a bit and made them bigger in the mid 90's.
