  • FANTASTIC STUFF! First time I've seen ANY video of the NY Golden Blades! Notice in the game against Houston Aeros both clubs had their dark jerseys, wonder what happened there (knowing the WHA, some luggage was probably lost by an airline)

  • Was a big fan back then as a 13 year old kid. Loved the ampitheater.

  • Add the fact that the Cougars almost had to play some home playoff games elsewhere that year due to rink availability.

  • @BiffScooter1 Almost? They did! Ended up playing at the Randhurst Twin Ice Arena in Mount Prospect, arguably the most bush-league of all facilities used in the WHA. It was on land primarily occupied by the now-defunct Randhurst Mall. Simultaneously, the New England Whalers were also stuck playing home games at another bush-league facility - the Eastern States Coliseum a.k.a. "The Big E." It's just a glorified livestock pavilion in West Springfield, MA which is still in use.

  • Horrible camerawork. They never show the players from the shoulders up, probably to avoid showing all the empty seats!

  • the cougas and the wha were just a big ripoff. very glad to see it's been gone for a long time. no need to bring it back. we need the old wha or the cougars like we need the plague.

  • This is real Hockey No Glory Just Gutz!!!!

  • Funny to look at white boards with no advertising!

  • wha hall of fame? ...obviously winnipeg
