I watched this whole production on DVD. To our current taste, it is a bit slow, but it was made with a good eye for detail. I like James Hoback in the role of Pedrillo, but what happened to this tenor? I can't find anything about him on the net. Did it all end after this?
@Porkolty Hello, I met James in the summer of 1974. He and I were friends for a while, then lost touch. I have read somewhere that he is deceased, but I have not yet found anything more. :-(

He had a relatively good career, he is still singing actually. And teaches at the Royal College of Music, in London...
