nice video...i have one question...i have a commercial mower walk behind with a 12.5hp kawasaki engine....sometimes once in a while when i pull start it it kinda yanks the cord right out of my hands....and it really hurts when it happens...can this be the flywheel key?
@123lawncare Well if the machine runs rough or it sounds like it is misfiring or doesn't start at all then the key might be slightly or totally sheered. Most likely I would check the flywheel key by taking the engine cover off and removing the flywheel bolt, if the notches on the shaft and the flywheel are not in the same spot then the key is sheered. Check the key and if you have trouble let me know.
@MultiKhaz machine runs smooth strong and starts in one pull but once in awhile when i pull the cord it jerks one me..it pulls the cord right out of my hands with brute force
@123lawncare if you can then I would say check the key as a # 1 problem. Then check to make sure you don't prime/choke the engine too much otherwise too much gas causes the piston to lock up a little bit, then the spark fires and the engine runs like normal. some people complain that gas slowly leaks into their cylinder especially when your gas tank is mounted higher than the carburetor and causes this locking/misfiring symptom. Anyways flywheel key is 90% likely.
Dude, You rock. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You
