Honestly, I'm super jealous of girls with natural hair. I'm 12, so obviously I'm limited with what I can and can't do with my hair. Just today, I asked my mom if I could go natural with my hair by braiding it, letting it grow so I can cut it to a reasonable length without the relaxed parts of my hair, then never perming it again. But she said no because it was hard to manage. I really want natural hair because there is so much more you can do with it.

@jSprks just try to explain to your mom why it's so interesting to you and why you want to switch.our hair is our pride and joy and if you can't have it the way you want it then are you really happy?it's important to you and it's your hair and your body,hopefully she will understand.i wish my mother hadn't put a relaxer in my hair.it did more damage than good.

she didn't educate herself how do take care of the hair we are born with.im glad i decided to go natural.i've been 15 months natural and my hair is down past my shoulders.it grows so much faster.it was a great experience for me and i hope that it will be for you if you ever switch.show her vids if you have to.you spend less money with have natural hair,use less products,and its so much more versatile and healthier.just stay on her and maybe she will give in.=]
