  • I don't know much about music production but someone needs a medal for this one. The failed passwords, the "ding" on the correct attempt, the crashing sound when he finds out the truth, the lower notes in the last chorus...genius.

  • @stepheneamonn Couldnt agree more! There are alot of clever "musical alludes" to the telling of the story, which for me elevates this song to "Genius" Level!

  • This song is fucking A-W-E-S-O-M-E.

  • i absolutely couldnt breath for a good minute.. ive kind of been at a standstill with music. thought i had it all. . .

  • For those of this that this song is in our life's soundtrack...great song

  • I'm going to see them tonight!! Can;t wait to dance and laugh my arse off!!

  • Spark Notes: Ben and this girl are dating but she feels like he doesn't care "I know you, you think I don't but I do." "I can pass the test" He tells her all of this stuff that he knows about her to prove that he cares She feels like he is trying to hard and its not real "You think im lieing but im not" "It actually means I love you" She lies to him about whats going on in her life and cheats "distraction and boredom" "Anthony" "tulsa" how would she tell him about a trip if she didnt know him
  • @PandaYogisha - nope.

Guy trying to hack his girlfriend's e-mail. Trying out all the trivia he knows about her as possible passwords (hence the title, and spelling all of the words out). Finally the pword "Anthony" (the new guy) works, and he finds out she's been lying to him.

The stalker thing kind of works too but the "distraction and boredom" suggests they have an actual relationship that's going down the t00bs.

  • @Crommunist - fuller000 got it exactly right. I should have read down the page.

  • @Crommunist

You are completely right, I missed the significance of the spelling out part XD

  • @PandaYogisha I think it's pretty obvious this is about a guy trying to figure out his girlfriends email password so he can she what she's up to since he thinks she's cheating.

  • love the shoutout to T-U-L-S-A, wish i could ask nick or ben about the reference.

  • 3:07 My dad name's Anthony. And sometimes he's a very big asshole.

  • this song is about a stalker not that i'm dissing it or any thing

  • this song is about a stalker

  • I think the song talks about a guy trying to access his ex-girlfriends's email.. he tries to find the password, just to find that the answer to be "Antony"... really good song, and great lyrics (:

  • @fuller000 that actually makes perfect sense. well done!

  • I feel like the beat to this song sounds like a sex song

  • So how long will it be before some Chicago rapper samples this?

  • holy crap, my birthday is really 03/08/83 :D

  • I thought this was about a guy dating a girl that cheated on him, but after listening to the second verse a few times, it sounds more like a creepy stalker who thinks they're dating and then gets angry with her for dating "Anthony".

"You think it's weird, but it's not. It actually means I really love you." was the line that made me think that. Chime in.

  • @Digitlworld

I disagree. The lines below show that there was once a relationship between the two and the guy notices the distance forming between himself and his girlfriend . This distance makes the boyfriend seek its cause.

"You think I'm blind but I'm not

I've been watching and what I've noticed is distraction, boredom and vacancy"

  • Probably the most creative "I found out she is cheating" song ever!!!

  • sounds like a reinhold messner track

  • "Turns out you never went to T-U-L-S-A."

Ha, I'm from Tulsa and freaked out when I heard this line. This album is great.

  • Slow jam 2010

  • I loooooooove this new album. :) Ben + Hornby = most amazing duo ever? Quite possibly.

  • @likewhateverdude4 I don't think they even get close to Elton John/Bernie Taupin, but I still think this record is a giant step forward compared to Ben's recent solo work.
