  • It's an electrical transformer blowing up. There was one like that in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area a while back looked like a giant rave going on in the area. They emit a very large flash of light, seemingly a 'ball of lightning'

  • @NateCaroway The video is FortWorthExplosions

  • that was amazing

  • only 1% of the world will ever see ball lighting so they say, so if u seen it lucky you :)

  • You wouldn't be blinded. I saw one wierder than this many years ago as a boy in NE Ohio on rt 82 just East of where rt 83 intersects. It hit this huge oak tree to the left of Ried elementary. A white lightening bolt hit the fork in the tree, then this huge glowing ball like a star traveled down the bolt & split the tree to the ground! I also saw Saint Elmo's fire once when a couple years older InWVA during a soaking rain. 1 blue/green,1 red dancing on a wet split rail fence.

  • Transformator blowing u p from a lighting strike meter or miles away.

  • could u tell me what time on the vidio u saw this thing behind the tree? and could u tell me what tree? thx

  • this is not ball lightning. this is a transformer blowing up.

  • my friend and i were driving around the country late at night, literally in the middle of nowhere, no houses or power lines, just open air when a lightning storm rolled in. lt looked a lot like this, then one massive ball of light burst into the sky. it looked like one of those electricity balls they carry at novelty stores that when you touch it the electricity comes to your fingers. the lightning branched out like a tree and the light was so intense it was blinding. we thought we'd been struck

  • i dont know what to say.. crazy though!

  • Wooooww !!!

  • It looks like a transformer got hit. The reason I say that is because there were lights from homes and probably street lights and immediately following the strike there were no lights coming from that direction

  • right after the last big flash its like right to the right of the tree

  • pleaze tell me someone saw tht thing behind the tree awwww

  • @adog2559 What time in the video was it?

  • At the mid-point of 0:28 if you pause it, it looks like the night turned into day.

  • In all my years and I admit it isnt alot, but omeffinLord I have never seen anything like this! It is literally alien to me, can this really be just ball lightning? all the orange lights that fade up then change color and freakin turn the world black as pitch! and HELLO have you ever noticed what is behind that plant/tree thing when the last huge light flashes and you had just panned further back? Please tell me that was there before kthxbai!

  • @jusdubzzz Hey. To me it looks like a ball lightning. This video is a slow motion (about in every 0.05 seconds). I don't know what could be behind the tree...

  • @SeppoSallinen I'm a retired High Voltage electrician. To me,it looks like a transmission line/tower got hit by lightning and blew a transformer or other ancillary equipment. The surge in current traveled down the line and took out another tower. We can see that tower, with electrical problems,on the left.Depending on the voltage, arcing during a short circuit can be brighter than the sun.

In other words, lightning hit........ it go BOOM !! ;~)>

  • @SeppoSallinen actually just the beginning seems to be in slow motion, the rest is a repeat in real time as far as I can tell, and the thing behind the tress gives me the heebeejeebies.

  • So ball lightning can charge up with 5 little balls them bamb pow? Its a sight to behold for sure! Because its such an un phenomenon, seeing this display is truly magnificent!!! I'm in awe! thanks for the video

  • @jusdubzzz That is well said for a young person like you.

  • upean näköinen, mihinköhän se osui?

  • WOW!!! that's really bright O_O;

that might even damage or even blind that person who is like literally watching that. that was the coolest lightning ever!

  • @EmmaJulieStar literally means the exact definition of an experience in words. Literally, you were watching the lightning strike on a video.

If you or I were to experience it first hand, in actuality, we may may or may not be blinded.

    Sig wort heil!
