The song begins with another girl singing it. Then, all of a sudden, Madhuri appears.....and then, the other girl appears again. Why is that?

This will spoil the movie... but here is the answer: He is crazy at this point, and is imagining Madhuri's character while the other girl (Rupina) is singing and dancing.

socal1982, this happened because , Shahrukh khan in that movie wanted to marry with madhuri dixit , but she was being married, while he and his mother were going to propose her. So Shahrukh became so nervous and imagine madhuri as dancing.

Thank you so much for uploading this! I've looking for it for ages! Anjaam has so many wonderful songs that this one often gets passed by, yet I feel that Madhuri Dixit manages to bring so much of herself -her elegance, her grace, her spirit- to this song, that it would be a shame to disregard it. In any event, Madhuri is mesmerizing in almost anything, so it's never a loss, is it? =)
