im not that good of a player, but iver heard u need to turn and go, dont wait for them to get into the zone and get a shot at going around u, just pick up alittle speed, play the body when they get to u and keep him out of the slot

@starpower910 defense is all about angles. you need to angle your man into the boards (or away from high percentage areas)

Basically, your body and stick should cut off the middle of the ice, so if he wants to get around you he will have to go outside and around. Once he does that, you use backwards crossovers and angle yourself to the boards. Once you are close to him, finish with the hit

This is exactly what you do when you're getting deep. You commit to the puck too soon and you're fucked if the carrier has got a shred of sticking ability.

This will often force a turnover at best and at worse prevent a shooter from getting his or her preferred shot.
