  • they did a great job covering this song. Hard to believe but I was 12 years old in 1983 when this song came out but I never knew who sung it until 2009 when I heard Shiny toys guns singing it which then led me to Peter Schillings original. I had that song stuck in the back of my mind for 25 years lol.

  • Are they really Shiny Toy guns? No way

  • @rpedroso2002

    why?

  • I've always loved this song. Smiles. :)

  • I have to say...that pretty much kicks ass right about 4:00.

  • 1:00 he goes to WORK onn theose drums

  • Their studio version's nice but Peter Schilling does a much better job on the clip of him performing this song live on German television.

  • well I for one thought she did a great job! Am I deaf or something? Lol, I love it when people who sit on their balls all day and do nothing flame singers for...singing? I guess they COULD be ripping you off and lip synching over their studio tracks like your precious Britney, lol, but instead they decide to show some integrity and sing it themselves. Let's see all of YOU go out there and do it night after night and continuously hit the same notes. Good job, STG and Sisely. Frell the haters! :)

  • So, let me get this straight. The song was originally written by Peter Schilling and done by a German new wave band ?

  • I like this particular performance because she does all the singing.

  • Although I'm a Carah fan all the way, I actually love the studio version of this - however, Sisely really cannot sing this well live, and she has no charisma in this particular performance, which confuses me, since that is what many Sisely fans have given as their reason for liking her.

I'm just going to hope that this was a bum day for her and that other videos I see are going to be better (although I still think Carah is the best)

  • Does the finger in the beginning bother anyone else?!

  • @BayceChika it certainly does.

  • she doesnt hit the notes!!! this sucks, studio version sounds amazing but live she sucks

  • Haha again the studio does wonders :P

  • I just love this song!

  • Oh my God, this sucked ass!

  • oh my god this is terrible live

  • That was a lot better

she puts forth in song she love ^-^

    carah was good to

those two are great no doubt about that :)

  • that...... finger.......

  • No es por nada pero como q se desafino en el final a mi si me gusta esa canción pero no se hoyo muy bien o también puede ser x q se desafina pero x q canta en vivo y no hace playback......

  • this is excellent!

  • fuck yeah!

  • argh, that finger is in the way

  • the keyboard player ish hawt :)

  • at 4:00 he's really going to town on those drums

  • jajajajajaj la manoooo inicial.

  • I dont want to sound mean, I love STG and all, but at the end she sounds like when you hear someone listening to their ipod and there singing outloud and they are all singing off key and kinda tone deaf. lol, nothing personal to the band, like I said im a fan, i just think she should work on her live performence.

  • she stinks live

  • @CokaNut05 Carah was always good live though.

  • i wish i had her singing all the time for me..her voice is heavenly

  • this doesn't sound at all like the one on the cd!!! still love the song, just not right here.

  • @angolarose she is making alot of mistakes have your ears check and yes the sound is bad

  • Ugh, that was painful

  • This group is so lame. Come up with your own ideas and learn to fucking sing. Bunch of nothing rejects.

  • Good for a live performance in my opinion but i think they shouldve let the guy sing so siseley would have done an even better job at the end ( thats the most epic part of the song in my opinion) btw she is HOT

  • the drummer tried to keep up with the singer in which she was missing notes! Some bands just arent that good live like dragonforce the suck live!

  • Treasure's voice is amazing =D

  • Don't record what you can't do live in the studio. you just look like a cock when u perform it live. i mean good attempt an everything but the new singer has just lost a lot of creditability.

  • @WickedLiam ask your self this what is a cock? A cock is a chicken comenly used as a cock fight which is a chicken/rooster fight!

  • @blessthefallmichael Well yeah. the new singer just looked like chicken commonly* used IN a cock fight. when she attempted those notes lmfao

  • @WickedLiam: Actually, that is the beauty of seeing a concert. Your not listening to polished work or computers. Not every performance will be great traveling on the road, maintaining family connections, battling illness and fatigue, etc ... This def. was not as good as the studio version, but that's the point! I would postulate that it is the albums that undermine credibility. I have three friends that are great singers...two with bands that produced money and made it their job. Its hard.

  • @Musicdiva24016 Wow thanks for your life story. but that was just my opinion.

  • @WickedLiam it's not as easy as you think singing live.

  • @ashestoyoursoul I don't think it's easy at all. I would think it's really hard. So why would she just set herself up for a fall by doing that in the studio?

  • @WickedLiam wouldn't it be smart to do your best on a recorded version? if she didn't then her mistakes if she didn't try as hard would be on every copy of the album. besides in the studio they work with you to try to sing a song as perfectly as possible ( as my mom has had to do), and when I go to live concerts I'm not trying to listen to see if the singer is like the studio version, I care more about the experience.

  • @ashestoyoursoul Yeah i agree do what you want in the studio. Be it your best or whatever, but don't do it unless you can't back up it up with solid live performance. And you may care about the experience but when i go to a concert i want to be blown away. And so far i have been. Not plugging her but Lady GaGa left me frankly speechless after i saw her Monster Ball.

  • @WickedLiam I can see where you are coming from, but whatever. lady gaga is pretty awesome and that's where I'll leave it.

  • @WickedLiam Yeah! Man, I know what you mean about Lady Gaga, we saw her down in New Orleans and I was totally blown away, even BETTER live than she is in the studio! U2 and Bono are much the same, well, WERE the same. I love when live performances blow me away! You should check out Sheryl Crow's live performance of "Tomorrow Never Dies". Amazing. And I can't stand Sheryl Crow, lol.

  • @setialphasix Totally agree. I was stunned when i heard her sing Speechless live. i never thought of her as a vocalist, more of an entertainer but after i heard that performance i give her kudos for her vocals. And totally agree with you on U2 i've never really been a die hard fan of there's but love a couple tracks. I saw a performace of With or Without You on tv and i was a complete fan after. I'll check out Sheryl Crow although i doubt i'll like her haha

  • @Musicdiva24016 Check out Shiny Toy Guns - Major Tom (Coming Home) Live Edit - Des Moines, Iowa by revenantmedia00 on here. That's a live show too and I think it's excellent.

  • love the song

  • Her voice cracks like he'll and she misses so many notes, this kinda ruined the song for me

  • i dont know if he realizes that he's shirt is actually a mexican wrestler named mystico.....i find that interesting

  • compared to the studio version, they suck live, i mean where the hell is the energy?

  • @capnnattuh I totally agree!! I was really looking for some more enthusiasm and jumping around on the stage.. not a great show

  • this chick can sing

  • Maybe this would sound better if the audio had been recorded through the board... maybe. Dave Matthews remains just about the only singer who brings it every time he gets on stage.

  • @marksprinkle Seen them twice...i'm probably going to start a flame war by saying this but i seriously think they are the best live show on the planet.

  • @thehighlander9999 DMB or STG? I've seen Dave a dozen times; can't say anything about STG because I haven't seen a live show. The quality of this video doesn't do them any good, though.

  • @marksprinkle DMB for sure. I saw your comment and didn't think another DMB fan would be here so i had to reply. I'm honestly obsessed w/ DMB...saw em last year @ fenway...great show!

  • @thehighlander9999 funny..same here..didn't see at fenway though i saw at maryland heights and busch stadium 2 years ago

  • @marksprinkle Then you haven't heard Ben Folds or Carbon Leaf sing live. ;)

  • she can't sing !!!! they need to stick to studio productions!!

  • who is that dumbass sticking their finger up in the got dawm air?

  • this is one of those songs that I just immediately liked - Sisely really, really wails on those last few refrains in the studio version. While a bit flat in this live version, I simply cannot imagine how difficult that song is to sing overall, let alone when she has to cut loose near the end . . . sends chills down my spine listening to a person singing like this. I've been playing guitar since 14 (more than 40 years ago) and realized along ago the ultimate instrument is the human voice. Wow!

  • @beltonian you're the only person I know that realizes how much credit the human singing voice deserves.

  • @beltonian its really not that hard to sing that song and she couldnt sing it in the endl i expected more from her

  • @PaperrdolL19 Your point is noted - although I did make reference to in my opinion, it bears repeating - the benchmark for this song is the studio version and that's where I was coming from. I can also say that it would definitely be a difficult song for me to even attempt to sing (read impossible - ain't never gonna happen). More important though was posting something about how the song touched me and moved me. If others sound that good on the song, all the better! Still get goose bumps..

  • @beltonian yeah the ultimate instrument is the human voice!!! i rather listen to carah sing tho haha :)

  • I agree with merce, so far these guys are Studio Bands, but maybe they can get better later?

  • i like this song, and these guys are not a bad band, but this is a lousy live performance. they've got some work to do on their live show

  • hmm. Erm.....

  • Their music video for htis song is actually a live performance and that was pretty fuckin great so that shows they can be a great live band too

  • @FyreNail2 Studio produced "live" performance. :(

  • pretty cool

  • best version on youtube sound wise.

  • what's with the hand?

  • @bondovi18

    its brass knuckles

  • Not sure what you're talking about... I'm reffering to the guy that thinks he's directing the show comes in about 00:29

  • this is the best i've seen them perform this song live.. her voice sounds a little muffled in the beginning but otherwise not bad

  • @sgh1102 wat r u tlking about?? they suck!

  • @sgh1102 Well consider the recording source, a hand held video camera with what is probably a condenser microphone. No wonder the sound quality sucks- no offence meant to the source poster but the sound is sub-par! It is refreshing to see a more "genuine/raw" performance without the heavy production of the official video although I absolutely love that performance and video as well. Just two very different presentations of two very diferent performances. Sisley is great, got to love her!!!!!
