  • Wendy Beckerman used to live on the east coast, and performed with singer/songwriter Jack Hardy. Her vocals are on many of his albums.

  • Well I love this version of this song and I'm grateful for it! She has such a rich tonal voice.

  • Ha ha! I wrote my "sacred center" comment before it came up in the movie. Maybe I should've waited until the end.

  • I'm glad you wrote either way, and glad to keep the conversation about beavers happening everywhere.

  • My God, what lovely creatures!! The indigenous people of this country referred to them as the "sacred center," because of the integral role they play in the ecosystem. Wise people, indeed.

  • its hard to see the creadits at the very end... and i love the music

  • Sorry, the music is Wendy Beckerman, a SF artist.

  • Great story, thanks for telling it. Music is beautiful. Gary Bogue said he thought this dilemma could be solved peacefully and it was.

It just took a little time and thoughtfulness on everyone's part.

  • The song is old/spiritual/folk "The River is wide" the artist is local star Wendy Beckman. I agree, her voice is perfect.

  • What a great and peaceful beaver movie. I love it. Very glad to see this movie clip. :)

  • A salute from Splash

  • Meeting Moved to Performing Arts Center at High School. 150 E street. Spread the word!

  • Very cool, great music correlation. In rushing down to the creek to see our beavers, who now have a warrant on their hard-working heads, I saw a bird I've never seen before. Thanks to our industrious mammal friends, we now have new wildlife visiting the creek. Save our Martinez Beavers!

  • green heron? Night heron? there was also a comerant today, first time ever....Grateful for your support, write the city with your thoughts.

  • This is a wonderful video. Thank you for giving the beavers a "voice." I am so sad to read that the City of Martinez may kill the beavers. How misguided...I have written a letter and send my support to the beavers and their guardians!

  • And for writing the city your concerns, I would say the odds moved from 10% chance of them living to 60% chance today, stay noisy! H

  • Your beavers are in DANGER. Wednesday night the city will discuss their extermination. Come and defend your dam building friends. Heidi
