@Kylelaughs: Turbo gauges are not stock on US spec GTIs. I can't speak for other countries though.

Im looking to buy one now, and the dealer says its stock, but there is a turbo gauge just off of the steering wheel, that cant be stock, right?

$2900 extra for sat nav in rip off Britain - have to make do with a $200 Tom Tom.

In the US it is only available as a package that includes a sunroof, leather, dual zone climate control, and cold weather package.

I think in most euro countries it is available as a stand alone option.

The 2008 models call it the autobahn package. In 2006-2007 they were labelled Package 1 and Package 2. My car is equipped as a Package 2.

Yes, the car is completely stock, the GTI was acoustically engineered to provide a pleasant engine tone inside the drivers cabin.

is that touch navi? like how do u type in addresses?

Not a touch navi. You type by scrolling with the right knob. It searches its database to rule out letters that do not work together, for instance if you select a 'Q', all letters besides 'U' and a space are grayed out because it knows that there is no location that is spelled with any other letter following 'Q'.

did u have a car before this? because the only thing holding me back from getting this car is its FWD... and fwd doesnt seem like it has any power to it, since its like pulling the car from the front rather than kicking it forward from the rear... =\

how does it feel when u floor it nd stuff? and can u compare the driving experience to any other car?
