It's , beautiful , what else? Masterfully written by a musical God among men perhaps. Very well done, Kodaly Quartet are my personal favorite at it, they got me hooked on piece in classroom. Great stuff!!! Thanks! And yes, other posts are accurate, he is the Rock Star & Genius, of his time , your time, and will be for a great long time after we are long gone!
@MsShark09 with your English no wonder you didn't appreciate this. You didn't even bother to check your spelling. Beethoven is a genius no criticism is suffice.
@Caramellatta Thank you for the information I really am stupified that I didn't place this logically as an early composition. I find Beethoven more satisfying than Mozart as I age. I suppose it's just a preference, but I believe there is something more thoughful and serious about Beethoven. Mozart is fun and comically gifted. I still laugh at Mozarts Requiem it's so overly dramatic that at moments you want to burst into laughter, and yet so beautiful. Beethoven is meaty, moody and raw.
@ElijahIG Beethoven wasn't deaf yet when he wrote this piece. As for the pieces he wrote after he became deaf, he could still hear them in his head; he just never heard them performed.
So calming, even when they hit higher notes and it gets more dramatic! I listen to Beethoven and Mozart whenever I have to study; they help keep me concentrated.
Beethoven was a musical genius. This is my favorite piece, that he composed. Although he can never match up to Mozart, or Hayden, he was a brilliant composer.

I love all of them, but Beethoven tried his whole life to be just like Mozart. In the end they both have different composing styles. Beethoven's was dark and sad. Mozart was uplifting, until towards the end of his life.
Trombone? wow must be super hard. I used to make a joke about when Beethoven gave this music to the violinists to play, and they just looked at him and then looked at the sheet music and then looked back at him again. Amazing piece definitely haha but it's so hard to play.
Well I got the audition into the top band! woohoo! It only took me 4 hours a day of extreme flexibility exercises and punching a pillow a couple of times out of frustration, but hey I made the band and now I get to go to Indianapolis this year to their annual national band festival.

@taosimplicity : This is Op.18, so it belongs to Beethoven's early works (the first of three periods his compositional career is divided into).
He was always ahead of his time!

@taosimplicity I would use the word "organic" to describe Beethoven's music. Mozart had perhaps more "structural" music.
