  • 0:06 ...Draco, Hermione, Ron, and Harry...in forty years...

  • It's , beautiful , what else? Masterfully written by a musical God among men perhaps. Very well done, Kodaly Quartet are my personal favorite at it, they got me hooked on piece in classroom. Great stuff!!! Thanks! And yes, other posts are accurate, he is the Rock Star & Genius, of his time , your time, and will be for a great long time after we are long gone!

  • I have been playing violin for a few months now and I gotta say, I admire these musicians technique.

  • Beethoven should be more appreciated.

  • @TTResidentGood Maybe they thought they were listening to Lady Gaga or Justin Beaber? IDK

  • Awesome!

  • we need a beethoven veveo

  • Another string Quartet was mad because they didn't do as well as these guys. how else would this get dislikes??

  • @liger4100 You must be a fucking idiot.

  • That was pro, in all aspects.

  • Very well done, perfect performance.

  • this group is amazing!

  • beethovens dead!!! :(

  • beethoven is the # 1 rock star of all time just my opinion..thumbs up is you think so 2

  • Ludwig's the man; the original Deaf Jam.

  • @LeviJeans41189 lmao....

  • Brilliant. See my first original string quartet, i apreciate your comments. /watch?v=D0cXbb-DRd4

  • This is one of my favorite classical pieces. It's pure genius...

  • this was a long time ago when the discourse was humanist. Listen to Ferneyhough , Pendereskiand Boulez if u want to see whats happening now!

  • Beethoven masterly played...priceless !

  • Marvelously performed by one of the best String Quartets in the world!

Beethoven´s music is from another realm! The way it touches my soul is indescribable!

    Bravo!

  • I bet Beethoven made 4 enemies in his life and those people's great great grandchildren are the people who disliked this...

  • Ike Anwhistle this with the mouth full of crackers.

  • @MsShark09 hmm i bet u are a child.. or at least someone inmature.. well you will understand later... in the meantime try to enjoy it, to relax

  • @MsShark09 with your English no wonder you didn't appreciate this. You didn't even bother to check your spelling. Beethoven is a genius no criticism is suffice.

  • @MsShark09 troll detected.

  • @MsShark09 hahaha you funny, THIS IS MUSIC... lots is todays music is just lot of noise not music

  • @vaardal100 ethnocentric much? Thats a pretty subjective statement

  • @vaardal100 What does that even mean?

  • Maravilhoso! Um GÊNIO cria e VOCÊS Anjos cintilantes interpretam com magia!

Obrigada! Todo sucesso e paz para vocês!

  • 4 people cant get play this together. Apparently, they're jealous of these four.

  • today is beethoven's 240'th birthday.

  • im sportin a woody, this is that good!!

  • this piece is what got me into strings in the first place

  • Beethoven's deaf? No way!

  • @summonshire He became deaf later on, and he had a stomach ache.

  • @TheGloryofMusic I see, ouch.

  • When I was younger I didn't really get this piece, but now it clicks. I'm in love with it. Is this a later work?

  • @taosimplicity it's no. 4, so.. no =)

  • @Lity10 Thank you for pointing out the obvious. Duh! Boy, do I feel stupid.

  • @taosimplicity lol, are you being sarcastic? :P

  • @taosimplicity : This is Op.18, so it belongs to Beethoven's early works (the first of three periods his compositional career is divided into).

He was always ahead of his time!

  • @Caramellatta Thank you for the information I really am stupified that I didn't place this logically as an early composition. I find Beethoven more satisfying than Mozart as I age. I suppose it's just a preference, but I believe there is something more thoughful and serious about Beethoven. Mozart is fun and comically gifted. I still laugh at Mozarts Requiem it's so overly dramatic that at moments you want to burst into laughter, and yet so beautiful. Beethoven is meaty, moody and raw.

  • @taosimplicity

you have right.. beethoven is more mature hehe but mozart is mozart!! hehe...

    no mozart = no beethoven

  • @raticida123456 well Beethoven couldnt even hear his music so it kinda narrows it down

  • @ElijahIG

    ARE YOU SURE? ;)

  • @ElijahIG Beethoven wasn't deaf yet when he wrote this piece. As for the pieces he wrote after he became deaf, he could still hear them in his head; he just never heard them performed.

  • @taosimplicity I would use the word "organic" to describe Beethoven's music. Mozart had perhaps more "structural" music.

  • @fievel3782 Organic works.

  • this sounds bad its been butchered from how it was written

  • In the middle part of this video, did I heard some pizzicato?

    Anyway, that was awesome playing

  • So calming, even when they hit higher notes and it gets more dramatic! I listen to Beethoven and Mozart whenever I have to study; they help keep me concentrated.

  • @GoodGirlKC It becomes quite the opposite for me...unfortunately. :( I just have to drop whatever I'm doing and listen to every note!

  • i love beethoven's work. i feel like a lot of his pieces sound really intense. i love it.

  • i have an exam coming up on this, so please if someone knows who is the audience this piece was intended for, and why please help me answer

  • Beethoven was a musical genius. This is my favorite piece, that he composed. Although he can never match up to Mozart, or Hayden, he was a brilliant composer.

  • They can't really be compared.

Beethoven was like a mix of them both. He made something different.

  • to me i think

Beethoven's better than both of them

  • i want to use this version of the piece for a ballet....what musicians are playing? like, who would i search on itunes?

  • ummmmm, nevermind :)

  • Kodaly Quartet.

  • Bravo!

    Beethoven's a genius

  • @frozinfire , you are finding that out only now?

  • The opening of this Beethoven rondo is reminiscent of the opening in the rondo in Haydn's G major piano trio #39 (Presto).

  • jesus tapdancing christ, why are there are christians everywhere... post ur crap somewher else

  • your england is so amazing pal...

really quite a skill you have there

  • feel sorry for you. You haven't heard God yet..

  • we must give praises to beethoven

  • He is the real rock star

  • @skms5015 You can't be a rock star of you not a rock musician or lived before rock was in existence. But I get what you mean of course

  • Is this a Rhondo?

  • YES! INDEED!

  • rondo* lol

  • one of my friends is playing a condensed version of this in a chamber ensemble project.

  • Greetings from Madeira Island - Portugal

    thanks for the post

  • The Kodály Quartet are one of my favourites, and they sound tremendous on this !

    Thanks for posting x

  • wonderfully executed, but shouldn't it be quicker? Especially the finale?

  • Maybe just a little tiny bit... but the finale should deffinently be faster!

  • So impassioned!

  • :'( I have to play this for auditions and I only have a week to look at the sheet music. Not exactly the easiest piece for trombonists.

  • Trombone? wow must be super hard. I used to make a joke about when Beethoven gave this music to the violinists to play, and they just looked at him and then looked at the sheet music and then looked back at him again. Amazing piece definitely haha but it's so hard to play.

  • Well I got the audition into the top band! woohoo! It only took me 4 hours a day of extreme flexibility exercises and punching a pillow a couple of times out of frustration, but hey I made the band and now I get to go to Indianapolis this year to their annual national band festival.

  • sweet.

  • omg. i played all the movements in my string quartet we have at my school. its so gorgeous.

  • wow, bravo!
