  • @dikecan: No wait let me do you now. "Ooooo yeah!" sound of you pleasuring yourself to Kevin Smith's picture.

  • imitating kevin smith: "Me name Kevin Smith. Me make gay jokes about Lord of Rings. Me make walking jokes too. Huh, huh. I say the f-word every other word. Huh, huh." Hey douche bag. Lucas ripped off Lord of the Rings, the Hidden Fortress and many other movies and genres to make Star Wars. Tolkien was a medieval scholar who invented whole languages to fill out his story. Stop trying to sound smart.

  • @calllahan HAHAHA ok now ill do you! "..." (sound of you killing yourself)

  • @vulcanelf Youtube is notorious for having posters and commenters get up in arms over silly things. The internet isn't a very friendly place anymore, and at the same time I feel is users are getting more and more closed minded. I guess I just wish people would pick their battles, or talk things through before they make wild assumptions. People use LOL and emoticons because they are just trying to show a little friendliness, so if you don't mind I'll end this with a smiley face. :D

  • @vulcanelf Yes, I agree with you. I think the audience throughout most of this movie is giving nothing more than a courtesy laugh. My first comment to you was more or less a "What were you expecting? This is Kevin Smith, all his movies have this humor" comment, but I think you misread it as me defending Smith or something. I don't think he's funny here at all, but I thought when Randal said it in the movie it was funny, mostly for the backlash he gets from the two LotR fans.

  • @vulcanelf As for Kevin Smith's work, I love Dogma. I like maybe a handful of his movies, the rest are so-so. I guess to you that makes me dumb as a doornail, but I think you went a little over the top there in trying to tear me down. And why exactly did you feel the need to do it? I didn't say anything mean to you. You just really come across as a nasty person desperate to get attention. Well, I've given you five minutes of my time, I hope this makes your day a little sunnier.

  • @vulcanelf I wasn't saying you were wrong. And yes, I've read all three books-- and I read them before I saw the movies. The first book and the first movie are, to me, dull, and I'd rather you didn't equate my dislike for fantasy to having a lower intelligence than yourself. I like the final two books and final two movies, but I am not particularly fond of any of the characters save Gollum, Ghimli, and the Ents. Many of them are interchangeable.

  • So wait, is Kevin Smith stealing material from his own movie for this talk session, or did he talk about it and then think "That was funny, let's put it in Clerks II". With the LotR trilogy, the movies got progressively more interesting. The first movie is boring as hell and the two times I tried to watch it I fell asleep. The second movie has a pretty good battle sequence, and I love Golem. The third movie is just badass. Still not much of a LotR fan, though.

  • @vulcanelf

LOL I take it you've never seen one of Smith's movies.

  • The original Lord of the Rings movies were animated and much better. Had fewer endings.

  • love the ending.
