Nocturne's ult, as well as Anivia's wall, Karthus's wall, etc, are registered as dmg to other players, thus resulting in them getting assists from them helping with said abilities, so when Renekton got killed by the turret, since Nocturne ulted, the game registered saying Nocturne did dmg to Renekton, thus resulting in Nocturne getting a kill. Thumbs up so the tards can read it.

That was not the ult that got Renekton. He got the hit from a turret if you look closely. Also you weren't even then at the time if you look at the mini map. AKA NOT EVEN A ULT KILL AT ALL.

If you need proof run upto a turret and flash like that (only Renek used his slice and dice not flash). The turret shot will still follow you once fired.

Nocturnes ult is similar to something like anivia's w in that even if it does no damage, it still gets you an assist or kill. so if you use ur ult then ur team mate gets a kill, u get the assist even though u did no damage. Anivia's w if the wall touches them it gives you an assist so yeah :)

The explanation is pretty simple. Your R counts as a debuff, and debuff gives you a kill if the turret killed the enemy.

If Talon would use his E and the turret will attack the target the kill will belong to Talon. Same with Soraka's heal, but with kills, not assists.
