@Fleedling whats so bad about that, actually if the covenant was using lasers they wouldnt be as effective (thermodynamics and thermal radiation through lasers adn all that) even simple reflective armor based on polished copper would reflect like 93% or something of thermal radiation from lasers. But humanity's choice to use ballistics is jsut simply because they're most used to it. They can make better guns, but why switch to plasma weapons when the guns are still working fine?

We battled each other, and not for glory or honor, but for money, food, etc. The Elites only ever knew war for safety, honor and glory. And most of their ranks are inferior to a UNSC Marine Corp Private. The thing is, Humans have the advantage in ground combat on a planet surface, but interplanetary space combat we lost every time because the covenant stole Forerunner technology.
@Rexhunterj The Elites were better at war than us. They were master tacticians, far stronger, and had better technology. The only thing we had over them was the MJOLNIR armor, which was actually more advanced than their own combat harnesses, which were also augmentative. Once again, it goes back to Truth's bright idea. The UNSC couldnt easily reverse engineer anything, but new tactics were created quickly and smoothly to gain every possible foothold and destroy every possible foothold on the other side.
The Forerunner was an exact mix of the two. They reverse engineered Precursor tech, then enhanced it heavily.

@ChaosWith4 the stormtroopers are about on par with the grunts and jackals, maybe lesser elites. Not enough sith and Jedi combined to win the war againts the covenant armada. But i will say only the best elites would pose a threat to jedi's, and even then, that's just light saber duels. Have to remember those sketchy force powers.
Its the space battles that would be determining, and thats a hard one. The covenant are about on par with the empire/republic fleet wise.

@DiNProphecyXYZ Basically in one of the shorts, this "ghost" person uses an experimental mech suit to fight off the covenant as the civilians and marines are evacuated. It looked basically like a cross between a spartan and a gundam.

@flyffvshalo True. But if I remember correctly. In The Fall of Reach it mentions that the Spartan-II's trainers were using Mk III's for their own protection, and that they were using Machine Guns with stun rounds on the Spartans. So it'd make sense that the prototype is the Mk III.
The Prototype obviously isn't a Mark III exoskeleton though. It's an evolution of that sure, like the Mjolnir armor that Spartans wear.
It's called a Hrunting/Yggdrasil Exoskeleton, as indicated by an article on Halo Waypoint. Hrunting is the sword Beowulf used to kill Grendel's mother and Yggdrasil is Odin's Spear and apparently both were used as names for the project.
@OniLink147 Yeah that may be possible, but that means that it would be logicaly lower in speed and in power to let human be able to use it and as we saw in halo legend, the prototype is really good and maybe not so fast but really more powerful than Mk VI.

this song makes me want to take a ship from 542 years in the future (human or covenant) and hook up a TARDIS to it so i can travel through time and space efficiently and go back 2million years to that galaxy far far away and save all the jedi, kill the emperor and T-bag him till the guards come in and then make an awsome James bond style getaway and then take all the jedi to a re-terraformed harvest or forerunner shield world and go steady with Shak ti, Ashoka Tano, or Aayla Secura.

This episode (Prototype) was easily my favorite after Origins. Also had the best animation style overall...which sadly was my one biggest complaint- the Halo: Legends anime episodes weren't very great in the anime department as far as looks go..

@TBEClanMovies first of all: ELITES DO COUNT because Sgt. Johnson asked them to join the UNSC to keep everyone alive. Second of all: They had about 40 Halycon class ships in Halo 2, and i don't believe they can be wiped out so fast when barricaded by the Orbital Guns. Therefore by Halo 3 they'd have about 25. Third off. The WHOLE covenant DID NOT ally with the UNSC, they just fought the flood, IGNORING the UNSC as the UNSC did with them. After that, they'd just keep fighting.

Into peace", Thats bullshit, The covenant broke apart after halo 3 and all the species still hate us and would attack us if they could, The UNSC and the Covenant never fought the flood together other than in Halo 3.

But i will say only the best elites would pose a threat to jedi's, and even then, that's just light saber duels. Have to remember those sketchy force powers.
Its the space battles that would be determining, and thats a hard one. The covenant are about on par with the empire/republic fleet wise.

Not the invasion theme, but the actual invasion sequences in the movie. But, you are right. The Droid Invasion/The Appearance of Darth Maul is a great song. I have it on my iPod.

@BioGenStudios I think the episode prototype was the best one in terms of action and story.
Origins 1 and 2 were nice and explained much about the story of Halo, however, it's action scenes
were not impressive, rather posing.

@DiNProphecyXYZ Basically in one of the shorts, this "ghost" person uses an experimental mech suit to fight off the covenant as the civilians and marines are evacuated. It looked basically like a cross between a spartan and a gundam.

@TheFtwLOL Well the suit is a modified version of the Mk III MJOLNIR suit. So the Spartans are wearing an updated version of it.

@flyffvshalo True. But if I remember correctly. In The Fall of Reach it mentions that the Spartan-II's trainers were using Mk III's for their own protection, and that they were using Machine Guns with stun rounds on the Spartans. So it'd make sense that the prototype is the Mk III.

The Prototype obviously isn't a Mark III exoskeleton though. It's an evolution of that sure, like the Mjolnir armor that Spartans wear.
It's called a Hrunting/Yggdrasil Exoskeleton, as indicated by an article on Halo Waypoint. Hrunting is the sword Beowulf used to kill Grendel's mother and Yggdrasil is Odin's Spear and apparently both were used as names for the project.

@OniLink147 Yeah that may be possible, but that means that it would be logicaly lower in speed and in power to let human be able to use it and as we saw in halo legend, the prototype is really good and maybe not so fast but really more powerful than Mk VI.

@flyffvshalo t has More weapons true but its strength is mostly from Machinery which can screw up big time, A spartans strength can be just as strong without armour, They are faster and are sure as hell much tougher than ghost, not to mention their shielding is better, My vote would be on a spartan despite how badass the proto-type was.

this song makes me want to take a ship from 542 years in the future (human or covenant) and hook up a TARDIS to it so i can travel through time and space efficiently and go back 2million years to that galaxy far far away and save all the jedi, kill the emperor and T-bag him till the guards come in and then make an awsome James bond style getaway and then take all the jedi to a re-terraformed harvest or forerunner shield world and go steady with Shak ti, Ashoka Tano, or Aayla Secura.

This episode (Prototype) was easily my favorite after Origins. Also had the best animation style overall...which sadly was my one biggest complaint- the Halo: Legends anime episodes weren't very great in the anime department as far as looks go..

@KennyDaPILOT Origins is extremely incorrect and Inaccurate, Cortana was decending into a state of Rampancy when telling this story, She was basicly saying what she though to be the truth but it was all lies. At what point did the WHOLE of the covenant Allie with the UNSC to defeat the flood ?? Never, In one clip you can see around 20 Halycon Class cruisers, By halo 3 there is only around 13 left, master Chief never Fought the flood alongside the Covenant ( Elites do not count as the broke off )

@TBEClanMovies first of all: ELITES DO COUNT because Sgt. Johnson asked them to join the UNSC to keep everyone alive. Second of all: They had about 40 Halycon class ships in Halo 2, and i don't believe they can be wiped out so fast when barricaded by the Orbital Guns. Therefore by Halo 3 they'd have about 25. Third off. The WHOLE covenant DID NOT ally with the UNSC, they just fought the flood, IGNORING the UNSC as the UNSC did with them. After that, they'd just keep fighting.

@KennyDaPILOT The Halycon class cruisers lost alot of ships during the battle for earth (from the halo 2 opening to the Halo 3 begining), But elites do not count as Covenant because they are counted as heretics and are no longer part of the covenant, "And they stumbled together... Into peace", Thats bullshit, The covenant broke apart after halo 3 and all the species still hate us and would attack us if they could, The UNSC and the Covenant never fought the flood together other than in Halo 3.
