  • I'm a noob

  • this guy is dancing with the swords no power or stance work at any time during this farce!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is this gary lams back yard?

  • @Nutsukidesu

    YES

  • Good movements but no correct steps...

  • @SifuDario its not really good movements, the power isnt there... im sick of seeing wing chun artists who arnt taught to use power...

  • I think that Bruce Lee camed in America with a BASILAR WT sistem and was enough to kick all american asses of THAT time... Yes was the first Start to teach AND SELL martial arts in occident, this was his best quality. But not at all the greatest... WT method is complete have a solid theory at its base... PHYSICAL AND MATHEMATICAL THEORY not energy or ki...

Bruce Lee was the first but not the greatest at all... If he had have fight against mohammed ali he would be dead sooner than he died ;D

  • krav maga is nasty bro, wingchun is also so long as you dont become to bogged down with the laws of wing chun. its funny how most people are turned onto WC cos of brucelee, they seem to forget what his conclusion was about the system though. dont focus 80% of ur training on fighting the hands, spend 70%on light/heavy pressuretesting, and 30% chisau/technique etc.youll get ur ass whooped otherwise im speaking from experience. dont get me wrong, when looked at REALISTICLY WC is deadly.

  • I dont think Bruce Lee ever gave an bad opinion of wing chun or any other arts!

  • u dont think? lol

'dont think feel....' jokes nah serious tho, bruce lee shook up rhe traditional ma world back in the 70's dude. read the tao of jkd b4 u post dude, u dont know much about brucey obviously....he blew up because of his controversial views on martial styles INCLUDING WING CHUN.

  • he may have shaken up the western martial arts world, but I dont think he shook the traditional one - indeed I believe he always wanted his wing chun teacher to teach him more kung fu.

JKD was a result of a brilliant mind, dedication to training and a lack of a kung fu teacher.

  • lol, ok dude.

rememeber he destroyed all of his opponents in challenge matches.

ive studied wing chun for a long time dude right up 2 biu chee and baat cham level. if you honestly ask yourself questions about what ur doin and pressure test it, or worst case you actually USE IT, youd know excatly wasup.... all Trad MA have flaws. its up to the practitioner to find them. bruce exsposed this to the world. sum choose to open theyre mind others to avoid truth....

  • actually, it was also a result of his desire to break away from forms. most of his principles came from WC because WC itself consisted of the most basic foundations found in very many MA. The stances and forms, however, he felt were very restrictive, including those of WC. Have you tried their WC stance? On a theoretical level, it works well, but put it into practice and it almost falls apart in a realistic environment (if you follow it too fully, rather than adapt to the situation).

  • but I believe Bruce tried several times to learn more wing chun from WSL. Maybe he changed his thinking with time?

  • no man the stance is not for suing in a fight dummy!!its for training your legs and to have the habit of protecting your family jewels!!you are a retard learn your facts first. we do not use the WC stance in a real fight!!!also WC does not really consist of basic foundation in MA,,other martial arts does not do WC stance, they do not have a bong sau block, not even something that looks like it, if i had to say WC is similar to it would be tai chi just in the sense dat u are flowing.

  • It looks like you're only looking at the skin of my words. For one thing, I didn't say the WC stance is useful in any real fight. In fact, I said it falls apart in a realistic environment. In conceptual theory, it works. In practice, no.

Consisting basic foundations - I literally meant basics - bong sau block is still a block, the WC punch is still a punch, and WC kick is still a kick. Aren't these among the basic foundations found in any MA? You're talking about style w/ Taiji.

  • not to bag on wingchun at all (im a wc'er lol) but when you explore other martial arts particularly escrima and filipino weapon training/kravmaga you can see how flawed the baat cham form is. it isnt as realistic as the filipino stuff, but then again i think thats due to the fact that the filipinos still have machete duels, which is authentic pressure testing of the system. wing chun has lost this aspect to its weapon sets IMO. blades being retracted can cut too wc'ers!think about it. peace!

  • i have herd that kravmaga is the most deadly martial art is that just bullshit? or is it as devarstating as they say?

  • hmm... kinda. It's trained in the isreal military, only propose is to kill, no rules. Maybe its the most effective to kill, but its not self defense, and its not viewed as a martial art eaither. But it is the most deadly, if its viewed as a martial art

  • oh yeeaaaah

all us martial artist use a scorer and it got a 8,7 score which is pretty good. Karate always gets 7,5 and tai chi only 2,4.

    ...

there is NO way to tell which martial art is best :)

but yes, it is supposedly one with practical applications in contrast to other more philosophical paths

  • Im glad WC forms look boring because that keeps knuckleheads from wanting to mimick these advanced forms and using them to hurt innocent people.I don't agree with the posting of forms like bart cham dao. This is precious to me and it seems like it is being given away for free by posting it.

  • In the old days everything was secret, and if you wanted to see a new technique, you challenged someone from another school. If you were lucky, and survived, you might learn something new.

I prefer the posting of things like this, especially as it is different from the way in which I learned it. (Different Wing Chun Lineage)

And just posting forms on You Tube will not allow most people to master the ideas behind these forms without a substantial martial arts background to begin with.

  • Yeah, I guess you're right.

  • Totally agree sir, well said.

  • I wouldn't worry, if no-one tells you when, why and how to use any form, and you don't practice diligently; you have at best a convincing dance!

  • You know what, you're absolutely right. lol I didn't think about it that way. Take care :)

  • that's Sifu Gary Lam's backyard school.

  • This ain't the real deal either!

  • Well, than may be you can tell us, what the real deal is ...
