  • It's almost three years since Mary Left us and many times I wished I could've gone and see Peter Paul & Mary live whenever they were in Toronto but it just never happen. Miss Travers was the heart & Soul of the group whose voice of many a good song will live in us forever.

  • Thank you

  • where would my life be without this wonderful song

  • I had the immense pleasure of running into Mary a few times in the late 50's/early 60/s. Once, when they were appearing at San Francisco's "Purple Onion", I actually had a cup of coffee with her, just the two of us! It wasn't anything like a date, but for the past half-century I've been telling everyonbe it was. I adore (note present tense) her.

  • This was the song the drew my attention to PP&M in the 60's. We have been fans ever since and have seen the live many times when they drifted through Montreal. One of their last tours was very short but they managed to fit us in given the past warm receptions.

Peter Yarrow's Puff has always been special. Many have tried to read more into it but as Peter himself emphasized it has always been transparent. The growth out of childhood and loss of innocence.

  • I cry when i listen to Mary......with sadness that she is gone. I loved her music, and saw her many times.

  • Rest in peace Mary. My childhood rembers you. Bless you sweet lady

  • Absolutely wonderful!!!!!!!!!

  • A deepo and touching song and tribute to the creators and performers of one of the masterpieces of pop art

  • Beautiful and quite heart warming . Shows the essence of their music and the joy it brought and will continue to bring even though she is gone . I personally loved their music and the meanings behind their songs . She will be missed but lived a full life and left quite a legacy .

  • Excellent tribute!

  • Hope and love. If I Had a Hammer, I wouldn't hammer on buildings. She was deep.

  • a very lovely tribute to Mary.....great photos....thanks for sharing, she is certainly missed.....

  • she was truly a wonder, a beautiful woman with a beautiful voice and a beautiful heart.............may she rest in peace

  • We have people out there that have potential to be like mary but they are hidden by the likes of American idol and America's got tallent. She was great. nice post

  • I looked at all the comments from peope 80 to 18 five generations and there will be more as long as we have injustice. People like PPM and the Prentenders and perhaps a few others are rare Leonard Cohen is almost 80 the good die young but we have digital images for those yet to come.

WE HAVE OUR OWN PERSONAL IMAGES GOD BLESS

  • I miss her so much...I got to see her in San Antonio several years ago...it was truly amazing to see how many soldiers should up to see them...it goes to show they are not all angry warriors...it's too bad that's a chapter now closed...gone but not forgottn!!

  • Peaceful, soothing and simple. A fine tribute to the beautiful soul of Mary Travers.

  • There is a request to post a response, so what do I say. Can I ask a question, "Why oh why do we have to lose the best first". following this ladies walk through life now is so painful yet so, so necessary. There are very few people who have walked on this planet and will be missed so much, but will never be replaced. I feel honoured to have lived at the same time. I feel honoured to have seen PP&M live. I feel honoured to have the ability of hearing. Thankyou for being who you were.

  • We love you Mary. Thank you for opening our lives with your courage to fight for what was right. We will always remember you. You are not gone, you did not die. You are away for a while. PP&M made a difference.

  • Fighting back tears here. Two years is coming up soon and I'm still remembering like it was yesterday. Thank you for doing this. Beautiful collection of photos. Some I have or have seen, but the ones you have are truly fantastic. PP&M were big influences in my life---Fromearly 60's to present. Mary Travers influenced me in many ways. Thank you Mary for all the years and memories, rest gently.

  • My daughter was born in 1966...little did I know when she was out of college that we both loved Peter, Paul, and Mary....our music was different then...one day I told her I loved them...and she was shocked...said she did too...we went to a concert together....won't ever forget the moment we came together like that!! Suzi...rip Mary....

  • Nicely done tribute. She was my favorite singer.

  • You never forget your first love . . . for me it was Mary . . . .

  • The first song I ever learned on the guitar (1963) was "Bamboo" by PPM. Played and sang their wonderful music ever since.

  • Just as it was her voice that made the trio, in Heaven, Mary's voice can be heard over all others in God's angel chorus. May the joy you gave us be yours there in Heaven. All we can do is say thank you for making our life's journey an easier one.

  • Peter, Paul and Mary will live forever in my heart

  • What a most Beautiful tribute to a great lady. Not afraid to stand up for her convictions, but mostly, just a wonderful Artist, and one who will be missed. I loved Peter Paul and Mary, their music will live on forever! Thanks for posting this wonderful video

  • Mary was very lovable. I met her in 1960 on American Bandstand. They jazzed up one of their songs for us Doo Wop style. They were just as good at that as they were at their Folk Singing.

  • Wonderful tribute! I saw them every summer they came to Denver, the last time was several years ago at Fiddlers Green Ampitheater. I so loved her voice and humor. I loved her as a person, singer and, as fighter for human rights, made her a strong fighter for her own trials with camcer. She lost that battle, but she won so many more. Her voice and her music with Peter and Paul will live in our hearts forever. God Bless You Mary! RIP! I will meet you someday.

  • Our loss is heaven's gain.

  • I really was very shocked when i seen she had passed on, I didnt here any thing about her death, only found out just recently on "celebrity deaths of 2009" I loved this group when I was a young girl and I still very much do as an adult. She was an amazing woman and I loved her voice.

  • Such a wonderful voice, such an incredible soul! The angel choir gains another special voice - but we miss here here on this side.

I got to see PP&M in concert once, back in the '60s. They were wonderful and only got better from there.
