It's not that I mind it at all, but I wonder if there was any particular reason that the Gundams and other mechs in these Super Robot War games were all made SD (super deformed) in the first place...
I mean, initially it's all a little goofy looking, but after a while of seeing the kick-ass action and battle scenes, I hardly even notice or care about it. I'm just plain hooked on these videos!
Still, I can't help but wonder what the SD thing is all about...
@JohnyCrusher They probably did it to make sure it fit on the screen, especially for the portable games. Players must have liked the style, so the designers and artists ran with it for the console games.
@JanusHoW If your talking about why gundams are in super deformed form its because gundam creators had copyright issues with using the full units so they only let SD versions be created in games. No. Burning Gundam sounds stupid as all hell. The show's called G Gundam for a reason. It's God Gundam, not Burning. And the script for the english version is fucking stupid.

If I remember correctly, Rising Gundam is the only actual military gundam in the series, all the others besides the Devil Gundam are tournament gundams, so Rising Gundam is built to be stronger then God/Burning, but is only used once by Raine to stop Allenby. It's supposed to be like Sun Goddess Amaterasu, but instead of Goddess, it's a God. The light on it's back is supposed to be the ring of light from the sun, which would both be holy and fire based.
i think beserk allenby isnt in this one because, in a previous one, they had allenby controlled/beserk from wong yun fat, until raine was able to get her back to normal, that and she doesnt like the beserker system anyways
I want a game that has mazinkaiser and g gundam and the element robots like sky water and fire

Of all the Gundam series, I enjoyed G the best.
It was not uber political, never overemotional and never takes its self seriously sometimes. It's just plain damn fun!
I love the idea that every effin country has a gundam that reflects it's stereotypes. haha

I think it is because of size differences. For example God Gundam is about 16 or 17 meters tall, Getter Dragon is 50 m, Daitarn 3 has 120 meters....
So i believe they made SRW games SD to nulify these diferences.
But this is just my theory, i could be wrong.
