What saved this from getting a dislike was the nine in the afternoon part. I thought the lead singer did a good job, he sounds like Brendon Urie, but the beginning of We're So Starving, I didn't like
Yeah the the Lead in for Nine in the Afternoon is a tough vocal performance. But really Panic! At the Disco don't sound that great live but really its all about meaning behind songs. They still are a good band and the Octet did a great job.
The guy who starts the song, (the lead) blond guy in the front. He has such a beautiful voice. :) the guy who sings Nine In the Afternoon sounds alot like Brendon Urie, so naturally, I love his voice as well!!!
Not bad, but to me, it seems like the soloist tried too hard to imitate the sound from the original song. Pitch problems here and there. Some awkward areas in some spots, as well. By far one of the best I've seen on youtube.
The Octet's have always been good at putting on a show. Their vocals are strong, but what makes their performance is the, well, performance. They are fun to watch, not only listen to.
awesome, i just want to let u know u guys inspired me to arrange my own group like this at my high school and perform for the school, im a freshman and i dont think ive ever taken such an initiative like this, but u dont care, but awesome vid

The soloist had a really hard time with Nine In The Afternoon. It's difficult, so I understand.

its not "oh you know" in the beginning

you do realise though that when they sing a song, they dont really sing it the way it was written.

Haha... never was a fan of this song, however, they did a very great job. I like how they did it much more then the original. =]

I love the UC Octet and anything they do, but man was the soloist that sang nine in the afternoon was extremely flat.

Thanks!
I actually did the exact same thing when I used to watch the Octet on YouTube as a high schooler.
Little did I know I'd be in the group a few years later ;)
