Going to church is fun these days. A guy was telling me how a friend of his was talked into going to church, (not a JW church). he and his wife went. After a few visits one of the guys in the church was screwing his wife, and the guy shacked up with the wife of the guy who screws his wife. My Father is a Ministerial servant in a congregation of JW's in Brooklyn and even he is aware that the witnesses have, on three separate occasions, predicted the exact date of Armageddon. Do not be misled by the organization, do not be misled by religion in general. @baddogonline I know plenty of people who are great Christians as well, like my parents. However, Christianity as an institution has been a major factor in the misery of my parents lives. Their religion was even a factor in their divorce because they were both from different denominations and could not reconcile their beliefs. People can be very good, regardless of their religious tradition. That however does not necessarily absolve their religion of its sins.
You can't understand the bible without the the watchtower magazine? (1914,1915,1918,1925, 1941, 1975) Were these dates false prophecies? What does the watchtower say about false prophets? My Father is a Ministerial servant in a congregation of JW's in Brooklyn and even he is aware that the witnesses have, on three separate occasions, predicted the exact date of Armageddon. Do not be misled by the organization, do not be misled by religion in general. Do your research, ask a witness who has been around a long time, they will tell you, but they will also brush it off as a lapse in biblical understanding.

@MegaMeli76 I agree ! They are not a cult, they are a Religion. Their cult status is irrelevant. Religion is the true evil of mankind. Catholics and mainstream Christians are just as bad as the Witnesses. Islam is worst. And all other religions hold a monopoly on the mind of mankind and are a hindrance to the human family.

@cmfernandez9283 I disagree. I'm a Christian, and I know many really good Christians. I could counter and say something really nasty like.. hatred, bigotry, and close-mindedness gives Atheism a bad name... ;)

@baddogonline I know plenty of people who are great Christians as well, like my parents. However, Christianity as an institution has been a major factor in the misery of my parents lives. Their religion was even a factor in their divorce because they were both from different denominations and could not reconcile their beliefs. People can be very good, regardless of their religious tradition. That however does not necessarily absolve their religion of its sins.

You can't understand the bible without the the watchtower magazine? (1914,1915,1918,1925, 1941, 1975) Were these dates false prophecies? What does the watchtower say about false prophets? The bible says beware. What about bearing false witness? With so many false prophecies, seems as though the witness might be false as well. Just a thought.

@FEINBACHRISING You should think before you talk. They are not questioning the bible. They are questioning the WTBTS. Yes, they were weak minded, and controlled ... but not anymore, they left the rest of the weak minded and controlled people in the watchtower. These people have seen the light and are thinking for themselves.
