Oh please i know that trick..... just take a coin and put water on the tip of the bottle which is HEATED and just press the bottle with your hand for a transfer o fheat to move the coin.....
haha! I'm a big fan of Alton Brown's "Good Eats" on food network. He often refers to the freezer as the chill chest. I watch his show to get ideas for vids. A lot of the stuff I did here and in the tea video I got from his show. ex- putting the camera in the freezer (chill chest) and in the cupboard. ;)
I like that show too. Guy is really cool. There's a new one that just started about 2 months ago, it's called "Food Detectives" it's really neat. They do experiments to see how long it takes for bubble gum to digest, what's the best thing for a hangover, does spicy food keep you up at night, and does food have bacteria on it after 5 seconds of being dropped on the floor, stuff like that. I also watch Giada, I don't like Rachel Ray. She's in too big of a hurry to get that food made. stresses me.
That's Crazy! I like that show too! I caught the hangover show, and I seen 1 showing how many Poppy seeds you have to eat before you fail a piss test. I've seen a few of them and I've enjoyed the show. I don't know who Giada is but I'll be watching for that now, probably wind up going to the Food Network online as you've peaked my curiousity. I really need to get going this morning, I've got a busy day today.
Everyday Italian. The show itself isn't incredibly creative with the editing and all, but she's probably the most beautiful woman that ever walked the face of the Earth, so she's just fun to watch, and her food is pretty good. Unlike Rachel Ray, she really takes her time, and enjoys the cooking. I've probably tried more of her recipes than anyone else's on the FN.
all you gotta do is get a cold bottle put a penny on the top. make sure it covers the whole mouth of the bottle. Rub your hands until it gets real warm then place one hand on top and one on the bottom and grab firmly. the heat from your hands causes the air inside to warm up and expand. Therefore actually making the penny move.
Almost right. It has got little to do with warm air rising (it does but that does not move a penny) It is the air expanding.
You can do 'the same' experiment with a balloon. Pop a blown up balloon in the fridge and note how it comes out small. Just put it on a table and see it inflate itself... or a ghost blowing up your balloon. ;-)
*Very* cool effect. Well done Tessie. But man is that ghost ever going to be pissed if he ever manages to get ahold of that penny and then find out how little he can buy with it!!!
a similer thang happens when i wash the dishes (rarely lol) and i put a warm glass upsidedown on the kitchen table and it suddenly glides across the table.
Thanks for the tip on how to set the "watch in high quality" feature on here. I didn't even know about it until I read the info section on this video! :)
wow tessie! this was an awesome production! i really liked the sounds in the background. the penny going in and out of focus, which way will it fall. heads or tails. all of that and a neat trick too! so very cool! the glow of things added to the spookyness of that penny tapping, rapping evermore! also the end part was so simple yet so freaky, with your hair and the high contrast silhouette. great video tessie but please! LET THAT POOR GHOST OUT OF THERE!!
