you must get Halo 3: ODST because it comes with 2 Discs including both games. The only thing you miss is the campaign from regular Halo 3 but you get the whole Halo 3 multiplayer experience with all the map packs and 3 new maps. The first disc is ODST Firefight mode and campaign mode. So getting regular Halo 3 by itself is worthless unless you dont want any of the maps and you want to play the old campaign.

Asianpunk: You do not need the original Halo 3 disc to play ODST. ODST comes with a campaign disc containing Firefight mode and a new ODST campaign mode. the best weapon 2 use on the drones is a machine gun or rapid firing gun or pistol if ur skilled enough 2 get headshots with it which i am sometimes

you do know that once a brute chieftain is glowing like that at 8:50 tot 9:10 he's invincible until he stops glowing? So firing pretty much all of your ammo at him isn't a very good idea...

and the plasma shields at 1:20 to 1:24 worn by jackals are resistant to human weapons, so firing on them will not destroy them...
