Riding bikes on sidewalk is illegal. It`s call a sidewalk for a reason. Sidewalk are meant for walking. If you want to ride a bike, take it to the road.Bicycle are subject to the same laws as cars in most cities. How many times have you walk down a sidewalk and a cyclist comes flying down the sidewalk and expect you to give him the right of ways?? Know the laws in you area cyclist.
I thought this is a bike to lend for a day?! I don't have the space in mu suite to keep the bike and would like to rent it for a day...anybody has any idea where to borrow a bike in Toronto?
I like the idea. What I don't like is that it's not made to go for long rides (bike taxi, not bike rental). To get around this, you would have to return the bike to the nearest deposit site (if it's convenient and you're lucky) every 30mins/1hr, wait two minutes, and then take the bike out again as a whole new session. That would be the cheapest way for long rides.
I personally have my own bike, but my investigation is because I may go with friends who aren't avid cyclists.
1) How do they prevent vandalism of the bikes and bike station?
2) How do they prevent the bikes from rusting out from the rain and snow? Or are the bikes taken off the streets during winters?
3) Don't you have to redistribute the bikes from station to station? Doesn't that sort of defeat the purpose of going green?
4) Can you bike it to another station within the 30mins and then park it and immediately takeout another bike and use it for another 30mins for free again?
He means, how do they stop people from stealing the bikes? I mean you can make the deposit for one station, but then just take the bike. So how do they stop that?
Hey where are the dud bikes all those were made for chicks ha ha sissy lol. Nan that's really cool stuff. Just think of the guy trying to beat the clock all day super thin lol.
@illogicstube You have to give your credit card as a deposit then you take the bike when you get to the next station you put the bike back then it locks for the next person to rent it

I like the concept but:
