Oh, do not forget to track down the errata for the 'Deadlands Reloaded' book. Some very important issues addressed in there (like slightly rewritten Spellcasting rules and the fact that Shaman begin with two Powers out the gate).
'Deadlands' is hands-down, my favorite setting. I jumped aboard that train when it originally pulled away from the station back in '99. However, I ALWAYS felt that the setting was a tad too clunky for its own good and when 'Deadlands: Reloaded' was released (using the 'Savage Worlds' system), I was in heaven! Brilliant setting now with a terrific set of rules.
Cheers for the comment! And yes, it does look extremely appealing. Savage Worlds and Reloaded are my next purchases, possibly with that intriguing Zombie game DeTzardis mentioned on one of his recent videos. (Check him out lads!)
But either way, I'll give gurps a go and then branch out. ;)
I've played this only once, ages ago. It was a bit of fun at the time, but not long enough to really get a feel for it. "Coal like energy source". Coal is black, could it be a metaphor?
All right, I just need some input here. There's a lot more going on than I could fit in to this video giving the time limit.
Basically, which do you prefer? This abbreviated version which just gives the bare history of the game setting, or would you prefer two parters that really go in to the meat of the game and interesting little details?
Please let me know, and yes! I'm still kicking myself for not showing off the book. Oh well! Such is Life...
whichever your prefer, if you think you cant possibly fit it all in one 10 min video then dont, I spread ravenloft over 3 videos for just that reason.
