  • I really enjoy how you think these tutorials through, include some theory behind it all, and how you try to go as in depth and make things as fluid as possible for the beginner. What I would like to hear is a little less commentary my friend. I understand there's alot to talk about, but keeping it concise is key. Sometimes less is more, you know? That's just my standpoint mate. Have a good one! :)

  • @caramelskater thanks for the comment and advice, I appreciate them both:)

  • hey dude we need to like jam on skype or something...I like this song and I'm not bad at guitar (not meaning to brag but tis true :) )

  • @theironfist1649 thanks for the offer but due to a work injury my guitar had to go (sold it) and same for my P.C. so for now I cant even do much of anything :(

  • do you NEED A CAPO?

  • @Axecriminal I did two lessons in one, playing it with the 'Capo On The 3rd Fret" and without a Capo :) the lesson without a capo starts about 17:55 good luck :))

  • @lkess55 thanks :)

  • thanks^ ^

  • @ruthyboihtlung your very welcome :)

  • I finally digged out my guitar and really want to learn how to play it, I don't get everything yet but I really want to learn how to play this song I learned the first two chords :/ not much but something still! My weakest link is trying to change chords with ease, thanks for your vid very helpfull!

  • YOU ARE AWESOME!!

  • @uza1r Well I doubt that :O) but I really appreciate your very nice comment :)

  • @lkess55, but i don't have any doubt.. observing chords from a song is quite difficult.. :)

    tc!

  • @uza1r :) :) :) Thanks again for your comments :0)

  • I really liked this thankyou :)

  • @bubblesofloveliness Your welcome and I really liked your comment :)

  • Hey, you're really good thanks for the videos I enjoyed your james blunt ones. Don't listen to people who have insulted you, you're a great teacher.

  • @nugent321 I really appreciate your comment, and your right about the negative insults I sould just ignore them:)

  • ohh, btw i think as long as anyone sings a song with a purpose and a heart behind it, then theyre voice is automatically beautiful.

also, since you dont have much of a vocal pitch range, change the key of the song, and play it with the chromatism of the original.

  • @caramelskater Thanks for the advice I really appreciate it. Most of my singing problems comes from a surgery I had where they inserted metal in my throat area. :( Besides causing me to have swallowing problems and pain it also made my singing go from bad to worse? :)

  • a video: by a beginner, for beginners. good, because im not interested in pulling a dust in the wind on this one.

  • @caramelskater Does that mean you watched my very long 'dust in the wind' lesson? lol

  • YOU SIR ARE A GOOD TEACHER!

  • @dynomite221 Thanks very much for the comment. I really appreciate it. :)

  • @lkess55 Nah man thank you for the awesome vid! :D

  • @dynomite221 :) your welcome!

  • hi there my name is erick i have guitar that i bought like a year ago from guitar center but never use it but now i want to play some of my favorite songs from a7x. But i don't know how to tune my guitar :(

Where can i get a cheap electric guitar tuner?

    and nice tutorial

  • @707Rocker707 Hi eric, it's about time you get use out of your guitar :) As far as a tunner for your guitar you might try watching a vid. on youtube and see if that works. You might want to check on-line or pawn shops to purchase one. Finding a tutuorial that works for you depends mainly in your ability and what works for you. Keep in mind that most lessons are not 100 % correct and may be incomplete only showing you how to play parts of a song. Again the best place to look is on YouTube.

  • U sir just gained a sub :3

  • @nawklet111 thanks for the sub. I will also sub you back :)

  • Great video, Simple chords and it got to the point, great details too, thanks for posting this helped a lot :)

  • Dude thanks so much. Really helped. Loved how you broke it down. Really, thanks.

  • @ActofChange Dude thanks for the comment, I really appreciate it really! It gives me a reason to do more lessons. :)

  • Great video, thanks for taking your time to show me and so many others how to learn this amazing song. We appreciate it tremendously.

  • @grappler555 Your welcome and I appreciate whenever I get comments so thank you for yours :)

  • ok...im confused what tuning is this in??

  • @RandomMetalGuy666 It's just standard tuning. Remember there are two versions of the song in my lesson one uses a capo and the other version doesn't :)

  • @lkess55 i was confused because when i listened to the song about 3 seconds in theres a chord you can only get out of standard...if that makes sense :S

  • @RandomMetalGuy666 It's ok I'm confused all the time so I understand, anyway I'm glad you figured it out. :)

  • wow... im learning how to play and this video has helped alot:) thank you for posting this video

  • @mymykayla01 That's great, remember my lesson shows you two different ways to play it so you can pick the one you like the most or that is easier for you to play ... good luck and thanks for the comment :)

  • HAHA, im a beginner...but i wanna play this sooo badly!!! /:

  • @FeelinSoFlyLikaG6 I'm sure you'll get it! Just keep at it and don't give up :)

  • this lessons is amazing! really helped a lot!! im going to be coming back to it to learn this song!! great work!

  • @Vitaminb142 Thanks for your very nice comment. I do appreciate it :3)

  • Wow.... i can see u work hard on your video.... this is the most detailed guitar lesson i found so far... I envy u.... Thanks.... I will subscribe...

  • @MrJohnMark21 Your welcome, I appreciate your comment and I'm glad you liked my lesson. :)

  • seriously good lesson! u go in2 such detail... thank you! :)

  • @rockchickAFX Your welcome I'm glad you found my lesson to be helpful! :0)

  • hey man, I realy need to see your other hand(right hand) when you play this song.

  • @xXxEmozzzzxXx I'm just a beginner so I don't have a strumming pattern, I just play it by ear and seeing my right hand probably wouldnt help much.

  • nice....

  • @kudo5224 Thanks!!

  • Really good lesson dude. Thanks :)

  • @MexicanBassPlayer Really great comment!! I really appreciate it :o)

  • Good job! Quit appologizing it was a good lesson. You taught just what I wanted to learn. If some people don't like it there are plenty of others on youtube. Its ok if you don't sing it like the CD. Its not a singing lesson its a guitar lesson! Thank you for the lesson!

  • @BoxDoc20 Thanks for the comment, your right I shouldn't let the negative comments get to me but sometimes they do :)

  • Thanks for spending ur time in posting this video it really helps a lot! ignore de negative coment and continue ur tutorial i believe it can inspire a lot of ppl!

  • @adgs1994 Thanks for posting your very nice comment, I appreciate it very much, I'm not really doing lessons anymore because I got tired of dealing with the negative people on YouTube but because of comments like yours I'm considering doing some more lessons. :)

  • Thank you so much for this video! This is my and my girl's song so it helps tht I can play it for her. I really don't get all the negative comments though. People can be so stupid sometimes

  • @squashboy878 Your very welcome, I'm glad my video was helpful to you, and I appreciate your comment. Yup people can be really stupid sometimes especially the ones that don't get that these lessons take time to do and are free.. lol..

  • Great tutorial man! I love the detail you go into and find it very helpful. Don't mind the people who criticize, there are very few videos that go into as much detail as this. Great job!!

  • @foro2k7 Thanks, I really appreciate it when someone likes my vids enough to take the time to comment and say something nice :o) I actually quit doing lessons, my last lesson was at the end of April and I did that mainly for my son because his stepdad died in a truck accident. I got so many negative comments, I got tired of fighting back or deleting them, however I sometimes do request if I'm able to lean the song well enough to do a lesson on it. Thanks again for your nice comment!

  • nice tutorial only thing I can think of is I dont think they use a capo other then that awesome

  • @adamgore1 You could be right but sometimes when you find chords on-line the key has been changed which creates the need for the use of a capo, I'm only a beginner so what do I know..lol... anyway thanks for the comment! :)

  • i LOVE long videos for tutorials for a song because that just shows that you covered every single aspect of the song and i like taking time when i learn a song.

  • @xXS3NTIN3LXx I'm glad you liked my video lesson, I'm glad it wasn't to long for you :) Thanks for taking the time to comment, I really appreciate it.

  • Great job man, really helpful. I'm a drummer preliminarily, but like to play a bit of acoustic, and love this song, and this was perfect for me, thanks again!

  • @HazzaBeasa Your welcome, I'm always glad to hear when one of my lessons worked for someone. Thanks for posting your comment I appreciate it!!

  • what's the tuning?

  • @RemusStelistu From what I was able to find it's just standard.

  • Dude, eff the people that dont respect that you taking 27:40 minutes of your time to teach a song. They dont get it, and i learned the song quick. Thank you this was the best tutorial ive seen so far for this song.:)

  • @boomboomyay123 Thanks for the great comment, it's nice to know that someone out there in cyberspace gets what my lessons are all about and how much time goes into to doing one. I'm glad my lessons was helpful and I really appreciate your comment. :0)

  • thanks! youre the best! :)

  • @ThatRandomDude98 Your welcome and thanks for the very nice comment I appreciate it :)

  • i could do without all the rambling at the beginning. so, yea.... thats my notes

  • @atwilightfanpire So here's my notes, either don't watch my videos or learn how to fast forward the video!!

  • hehe makes it sound like a camp fire song:) u helped me tho thank u:)

  • @themajesticmanatee Thanks for the comment (I Think!) anyway maybe it's time for you to go camping :)

  • willit still work without the capo, cuz i dont have 1 :/

  • @ABO7ify I did two lessons in one, I believe the 2nd half of the video uses chords that do not require a capo. Good luck I hope my lesson helps you :)

  • @lkess55 yeh, i realized that after i posted the comment . lol :) im gunna try do this when ive been playin guitar 4 abit longer, great vid :D

  • @ABO7ify Ok great, good luck. I've been watching some of your vids, on your channel and they are very entertaining lol...:)

  • @ABO7ify I happen to notice that you like 'Avril Lavigne" I also have posted a lesson for "slipped away" and one for "when your gone" so you might want to check them out!

  • @lkess55 cool :) , i will, ur videos r realy helpfull, thanxx

  • @ABO7ify Your very welcome and thanks for all your very nice comments!

  • Its a lesson for "Beginners" and you did a well good job at teaching it. If you're gonna criticize, then you obviously know way too much about the guitar already. Go make your own video.

  • @Anonymou7 Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it and I couldn't agree with you more!!

  • thx!!!

  • @tal31411 Your welcome and thanks for the comment!

  • ok i got the chords...but i have a problem with the strumming..

i try it with my instinct strum..but is sounds ulgy >.<

can you teach me how u strumming those chords ??up and down or somthing like that.. thnks~ nice guide anyway..

  • @DolzeR100 Thanks for the comment, I'm a beginner and strumming is the hardest part for me to teach. I don't really have a strumming pattern, I usually just do it by ear. I suggest trying to strum to the tune of the song and if that doesn't work watch someone on Youtube doing a cover. Sorry I couldn't do better!

  • this is awesome, thanks alot it helped me :) Im still a newbie only been playing guitar for 6 weeks

  • @seanmaln Wow you must be a fast learner!! Thanks for posting your comment. I'm glad my lesson helped you!! Good Luck with you guitar playing :)

  • @lkess55 oh haha no im average but this wasn't the first time that i have watched this video. I have watched it a few times before :)
