this is most deffinately what musicians lack these days real raw talent you've got a good point there boy and girl singers scream chorus's in songs far to much these days it makes me sick and want to cover my ears it's so bad yuck!
Both of the acoustic guitars are made by ovation. The curved composite back gives them a bright and unique sound. Seems like guitarists either love or hate them. usually because they tend to slide down your leg if you play them sitting down.
impromptu jam session?.. its MUSIKLADEN..i think not!.. I have the DVD as well and its great save for the local bass player they enlisted who doesnt know the bass lines and improvises with crappy soul and black rhythm lines. Downright ruins it on some songs esp. GREEN MONKEY!
Happy Birthday, Dewey...Your songs have been a part of our lives for so long and will always be. This is a favorite, I'd love to see it performed in concert again :)
You are most certainly welcome Albertan1956! Many of today's artist lack real raw talent that separates the men from the boys! This band has proven that you do not have to change your style to please the masses. Just stay the coarse and the true fans will follow!
Here in my country this band it's not popular, the reason why I don't know but when I think of that it put's me sad,no problem it will be a band only for me jejejje!!!
The DVD version of "Homecoming" contains a very high quality of this particular song. Check it out if you haven't already. This band is still so cool after all these years!
I was very happy to see "Moon song" on this DVD. The performance is very intimate, like you are there in the room with them. Probably the best performance on the DVD. I like how they gave it more of a harder edge than what is on the Homecoming album. You gotta love Gerry's humor at the end, showing the beer to the camera. Very cool.
@alaskiss I laughed at that too! And then Dewey asks for a sip and sets the beer down on his amp. If you listen you can hear Gerry ask, "Hey, can I have that beer back?" Haha.
I really love Peek's guitar in this. He is just amazing—they all are—but he just makes me want to bow down in complete adoration. Seriously.
Thanks for posting -- I was so disappointed when the studio-recorded version was pulled from your channel. This may be better, though, seeing Dewey, Dan, Gerry, Will, and Fuzzy create the music. A great song, seriously neglected! Thx again!!
