Ive been there and done that., and the stories I learn from witchcraft fall hand in hand with the stories from the bible.

Maybe you need to learn your craft from an older more knowledgeable person and stop handpicking modern books from the shelves

Cough up some cash and buy a book on witchcraft/occult that was printed a hundred or more years ago and see how well it lines up with the bullshit you've filled your head with

Witchcraft is not in the Occult family. Satanism falls under the occult, and witches are NOT devil worshipers. and what you found was probably books written either by Dark Witches, or a christian who put his own points of view in the writing. and what i believe in can't be read from an old book found in the U.S. Wicca, derived from witchcraft, wasn't introduced in America until the 1950's. and i don't hand pick. i ask Wiccan. i ask those who study religion.

witchcraft is a form of paganism, and paganism has been around since the celtic period. christianity came in around the middle of the roman period, the celts, although they were barbarians, were the oldest civilization. the worship of a god and goddess has been around since the Celtic period. and just because a book is worth a gargantuan amount of money, doesn't mean what it says is true.
