  • things wee said today!

  • first the beatles are amazing!

second, my friend just emailed me that the beatles were great :D

  • the best band ever thats all

  • ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu you know !!

  • Underrated Beatles number IMO.

  • we still havent replaced these guys

  • I love this live version of Things We Said Today, too bad the video didn't have all of Rollover Beethoven.

  • The Beatles Rock !!

  • Join Always The Beatles on facebook !!

  • @Tetrahydrocannabiism I've found that the best modern music comes from indie/folk groups like Beirut and the Fleet Foxes

  • I love how "She Loves You" is in the starting of this video. <3

  • this is nothing short of amazing, these were TRUE muscicians no tricks like autotunners by God if anything these guys were playing and singing bare bones so to speak, basic amplifiers n mics n even so their performances surpases any of today so called "muscicians" concerts, extrordinary band is all I have to say, if i was dying n could have ONE wish it could be to see them play one song live back in those days.

  • This video is precious. It shows how much better music is and people are back then. No skimpy clothes. Women actually are "dressed" and people have an incredible taste and respect for song writing.

  • LOVE THESE films THANK YOU for posting them, love them sooo much and bring back so many memories, I was a bit young to attend concerts but I LOVED seeing them on TV for what it was then and on the radio, all that we needed!

  • very proud to say that im a second cousin of john he was an awesome guy

  • @MrM894 can you prove it ?

  • @belenramires1 not really,i have the same second name as john which i know means absolutely nothing, but my aunt done our family tree, and it turned out that my dad and his dad were related

  • Join Always The Beatles on FACEBOOK !

  • ohh my temperature's rising :D

  • This is a remarkable document of the times. The shooter's assignment was probably the event, not just the performance, so the reactions are part of the story. Handling the camera with limited accessibility in that dense crowd, no easy task. For its time, the field audio recording is as good as I've heard- (It doesn't seem to be sync'ed to a more controlled recording). Thanks for posting this!

  • whoever filmed this video did a very 2nd rate job. Camera on closeups of John when it should have been Paul getting the closeups? Camera on the audience WAY too much. Sell your camera and get a sketch pad.

  • Brill - one of my fave Beatles songs

  • the best YES BEATLES FOREVER

  • Great recording.

  • eaw the beatles at shea , couldnt hear them clearly,, girls screaming ,,, but i was lucky to see them

  • The 3rd tune is Roll Over Beethoven, by Chuck Berry, I believe. I never realized George did the harmonies on "Things We Said Today", or did the lead vocal on "... Beethoven". It's an impressive live peformance, and fairly audible as the crowds wouldn't really kick in with the noise until a bit later.

  • A freakin' State Fair. In Indiana no less. incredible to think of this band playing that venue! How lucky someone would have been to get to be at that show! What I wouldn't give .... Interesting ending chord on "Things We Said Today." Definitely not form the studio version.

  • what is the name o f the 3th song? thanks. BEATLES WILL LIVE FOREVER. <3

  • @Paulinhastube Their cover of Chuck Berry's "Roll Over Beethoven".

  • 1:48 POKER Face

  • Paul!!! I love you!!

  • lol i got sooo pissed off at the policewoman blocking her ears from all the screaming girls. I know its crappy hearing girls scream but come one you are listening to the BEST BAND EVER! HOW CAN YOU?

  • truly awesome, if only i could have lived back then instead of being 20yrs old in this shitty era

  • Some one should go back in time and punch all the people covering their ears!

  • @coolerruler1 lol

  • LOVE THE CHORUS

  • wish someone had footage of the show from the grand stand, limo drives up, beatles emerge very exciting --that's the performance that I saw (not the coliseum)

  • lennon has a bad bed head or is very stoned

  • This is a lot slower on the album. And I still have the album from 47 years ago

  • I wish we could watch all these videos in color :\

  • One of their best songs if not the best, such a beautiful atmosphere on much of this early stuff. Agree with the last guy about Bieber, an irrelvant issue, if you wanna get nasty, the fact is the Beatles wipe the floor with stadium rock, rap and the divas. All hail the great tune and gut emotion!

  • the dislike bar is how many people were at paul mccartneys funeral. when he died in 1966

  • @666losbakooos999 He never died.

  • @666losbakooos999 Paul isn't dead. It was a pun, a conspiracy, a publicity stunt even. As for the picture "evidence," I know it's difficult to believe, but ... wait for it ... people AGE. Even gods like Paulie.

  • @666losbakooos999 Are you crazy man or something. who was at red square and more concerts? Mccartneys brother? Shut mouth pail

  • A very modern kind of sound, this song...

  • Oh yes, the girls likey very much.

  • Can you say puntang heaven.

  • @PinballWizard127 .... I'll be sure to spread the word out here in So. Cal... Great idea and a way to chuck to dreariness our messed of gov't putting us through... thanks...-:)

  • @PinballWizard127 u should u make 9-9-11 as tht day marks 2nd anniversary for Beatles

  • @PinballWizard127

    Everyday is Beatles Day!

  • @PinballWizard127 i love the beatles. but stop bitching about everything else...

  • As soon as the video started rolling I recognized the Colosseum at the fairgrounds in Indy. I saw many shows there in the 70's but I didn't see The Beatles there, however I arrived at the fairgrounds just after the performance because I did have a 13th row seat for that night at the nearby harness horse racing track where the 2nd Indy performance was set to take place. My seat was as far to the left as possible which meant I was only about 15 feet from a loudspeaker and I could hear every word.

  • I was there, 4th row center. I was 9 years old. I can still remember how I felt listening to them.

  • NADIE PODRA SUPERAR A LOS BEATLES NADIE

  • John Lennon and his Rickenbacker, proving that their is more to playing rhythm guitar than quietly strumming 2 or 3 chords in time with the beat. His roots and talent as a lead guitarist were ever present, even after he moved to playing the rhythm section.

  • @tripleJ1955 glad too know someone picks up on this stuff too. i play rhythm guitar for a 5 man local band and there is DEFINITELY more too it than strumming a couple chords. thankyou

  • @tripleJ1955 Lead guitarist? I think John played lead on maybe half a dozen songs or so with the Beatles, and could not hold a candle to George, who was the lead guitarist. Even John knew that.

  • @greenwich1754 John Lennon was the sole lead guitarist way back when the band was called "The Quarrymen", when George Harrison joined the band, John gladly handed over the lead role to George because he was a better guitarist. In my original comment, I neither said or implied that Lennon was a better guitarist than Harrison, I was simply giving a little history lesson on the Fab Four.

  • some motherfucker clicked dislike 25 times

  • The British album "A Hard Day's Night" has more great songs on it than any album I can think of.

  • @buddy51 i know right!

  • I was so awestruck I got flummoxed. Indeed, it is Paul and George whose harmony is wonderful--- John observing in the background. How DID I miss THAT!!! Dunce!

  • Fantastic! The harmony between John and George--- never heard on LP, to my knowledge--- is a thrill. What a band!

  • @melvynmsobel210George and Paul singing harmony here as seen in 1:17. John's contribution's the stunning and powerful guitar riffs.

  • @melvynmsobel210 You mean between Paul & George, don't you? It's the same way on the LP (Something New in the U.S.)

  • tuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuune

  • George comes in nice and STRONG on the chorus of "Things We Said Today." You can actually imagine how George would have sung this. This is my favorite Paul love song with the Beatles.

  • @BeatleBangs1964 ..I LOVE IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT !!!

  • "She Loves You" which you hear the tail end of and "Things We Said Today" are two of my all time FAVORITE songs! I love the way George does the intro. One of the most beautiful Paul McCartney ballads.

  • A very underrated Beatles song. One of thier best!

  • once upon a time talent

  • I thought John did back up vocals. Maybe he was sick and George covered for him, it sounds different

  • @blackspace007 John DOES look ill here....

  • @blackspace007On the recording, Paul does his own backups; overdubbed on tape. Live George does them on this song. You cab hear the same arrangement on the Hollywood Bowl tapes. I myself like the rawness that George gives the vocal, not to mention the rockin middle eight much better than George Martin's tamed version on the original recording.

  • i would kill to be any of the girl's in the front row!

  • The guitar sounds great in this version.

  • Wow. Very clear, like yesterday but in black and white. Were they using video tape that far back?

  • R U thinking of me..? ohhhhh Down-under child water lily of mine!

  • Wow!!! I totallly forgot about this song. Which Album was it off of? "Rubber Soul"?

Jody, u were 13 years old, then, wow!!.. that would make you - today!!!

  • @aspenrebel It's on "A Hard Day's Night". So good!

  • John looks confused.

  • ok it is chuck berry :D

  • the end totally sounds like chuck berry :D

  • Videos like this are a gift to those of us who had the misfortune to have been born later.

  • 24 people didn't said things today

  • I was ll yrs old when the Beatles came to america. I cried when I saw them and wanted to run to England to marry Paul. I lived the magic of Beatlemania. It was awesome beyond comprehension. PLEASE go to my favs and click on ALL MY LOVING, and DO YOU WANT TO KNOW A SECRET......these are 2 fellow "original Beatlemanics ": from Brooklyn New York that I grew up with singing a tribute to our favorite guys. THE BEATLES MUSICAL MAGICAL GENIUS WILL LAST FOREVER!

  • Poor Donovan at 1:50 with his hands over his ears

  • @Studmasterify must be the season fo the witch

  • @animascat ...By "Donavan" Great song, I LOVE The Beatles though, this song Rocks! I was born in the wrong decade!

  • @summer3262 i have no idea how my comment about donovan's season of the witch got attached to this song. i must have been delirious. i agree the beatles are the best and they're music is timeless. can't think of any music produced today that people will, 40 years from now, appreciate to the same degree. they were god's gift that keeps on giving.

  • @animascat ...No worries!!! Amazing Music is..Amazing! And you so right, The Beatles Music will keep going For eternity!

  • @animascat ...No worries!!! Amazing Music is..Amazing! And you so right, The Beatles Music will keep going For eternity! Oh, and just remember..George Harrisons "Something" is the MOST recorded/Covered song in History!

  • @summer3262

Actually, its Paul's "yesterday" that is the most recorded/covered song in history but regardless, its still a Beatles song.

  • slappy great point about cassidy and leif garrett. leif garrett supposedly had 7,000 girls greet him at a press conference in england i believe. i doubt this bieber kid will even see that kind of popularity and he has a tool leif garrett called the internet.

when this bieber kid is greeted by 300,000 people like the beatles were in adelaide, australia with a line of people that stretched 9 miles from the airport to their hotel then come back and post on beatles videos.

  • if elvis is the king of rock and michael jackson the king of pop i guess that would make the beatles the gods of music since the beatles have outsold both elvis and michael combined.

bieber kid or however you spell his name....couldnt name 1 song. does this kid play music or is he another michael and elvis and can only sing? if this bieber kid is going to replace the beatles he better start right away since hes 2,000,000,000 units behind the beatles in sales.

  • @flwhrtrb90 .Please don't mention " Justin Bieber'...In the precence of " The God's" of coarse refering to the "BEATLES"......

  • I love this song but Paul won't sing it in concert now.

  • Gorgeous singing angels!

  • to whomever it was who commented on PM's voice... try to do 2 shows a day, 4 days a week, not counting the 4shows/day they did when starting @ the Cavern in Liverpool.

see how long your voice holds up!!!!

    ure an idjit!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The time is right now, and the Beatles’ music is still here exactly like it was then. Actually, it has been remastered and is even better. The Beatles have been frozen in time still young, waiting for us to evolve enough to hear what the music contains. Go to TruthContest (dot) com and open The Present, then read the section about The Beatles. Pass this on to every Beatles fan you know.

  • Has Dave ever said if went to this show?

  • Hater(s):read Geoff Emerick's book and then talk smack about Paul if you dare

  • george did a good job at introducing the song!!!

  • LOL....that's so funny?

" when does your next album come out"

Maybe that person can give Paul some tips or singing lessons? lol!

  • HE HIT THE SHIT OUT OF THOSE LYRICS PAUL IS A BEAST

  • I want more! Sounds fantastic!

  • them chicks are hot

  • Man, they are singing Things We Said Today so fast! John looks like he's lost at about 0:40! And what the heck are those chords he's playing? LOL! I still love you guys forever!

  • @njriley55 They are zipping through that son, I can't believe it, 32/4 time, chords are am, em, chorus is c, c7, f, Bb, and then the me, Im just the lucky kind is, a, d, e7, a, d, b7, Bb7, and back to the am.

  • it really sucks that there are no live performances of songs from Sgt.Peppers, Revolver and The White album. those are their best albums.

  • @r4scuache I completely Agree. My favorite in order are Revolver, Sgt. Peppers, White Album, Abbey Road, Help!, then Rubber Soul.

  • No hidden messages, just a nice sentiment and expression of being in love. This song, like many of his over the next several years, was influenced by his relationship with Jane Asher. Oh, by the way, Paul is dead!! (Yeah, right!)

  • The song "Things We Said Today" has hidden messages in it, like many Beatles songs. To learn what they are, search "truth contest" in Google and click the first result, then open "The Present" and read the section on The Beatles.

  • I was there, in the 5th row. I was 13 years old. It's priceless to see these now, thanks so much for the post!

  • @jodymiller99 LUCKY!!!!

  • @jodymiller99 no you were not

    nobody was there actually

  • @jodymiller99 Wow, I envy you sooo much

  • @jodymiller99 I envy you. I gave a lot to be there, now it is 15 years old and was born in this era is not what I had. LOVE SIEXTIES an BEATLES <3

  • @jodymiller99 ..My God I'm Envious!!! I was born in the wrong decade!

  • @summer3262 i feel sorry for young people alot of things where better in the (old days) people where alot nicer then the 80s hit and somehow things got worse, then the 90s yuck, now forget it

  • @jodymiller99 i wish i could've been there you're soooo lucky even if u couldnt always hear them it'd still be amazing!!!!!

  • @jodymiller99 LUCKYYYYYYY!!!!!!

  • @jodymiller99 no way! I'M JEAOULUS, i spelled wrong, but what ever. OMG! Did you see yourself on this vid ? XD

  • @jodymiller99 you were so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so lucky!!

  • @jodymiller99 you're the luckiest person in the whole world!

  • justin bieber panicked in front of real music and clicked "dislike" 24 times

  • @thisux7x7 Amen to that. I wouldnt have heard of him if it wasnt for the negative comments on here

  • @thisux7x7 like yours.

  • @thisux7x7 How does a piece a GARBAGE like that get mentioned in such a channel? I guess its a testament to lack of knowledge and clear understanding of what music and artistry is all about?! This generation is trash just pure trash devoid of both taste and class!

  • I thought it was pretty cool, something I haven't heard before

  • 2 of my favorite songs "She Loves You" (you can really hear George on that triad of yeahs) and "Things We Said Today," a gem from Paul McCartney. You can really hear George on the backing/chorus. I just love these songs.

  • Way cool! Priceless!

  • yep, they invented or were in the brink of inventing some stuff YEARS before the people that are credited for inventing it: in this case, the quiet loud quiet dynamic changes or whatever you may call it, (the thing nirvana does, you know). in the case of "helter skelter" it was hard rock, in the case of the live at the star club in 1962 recordings, they were just one step away from sounding proto-punkish, their video clips like "I am the walrus" were ahead of their time....they rule!!

  • Statistics speak for themselves :D

  • anyone whinging about pauls voice or any other technical matter here blatantly has no idea of what it is to play a big gig, generally they're NOT MEANT TO BE RECORDED especially in those days, poor equipment, rushed set ups, incapable stage crew, excitement, adrenalin, fatigue, gigs like this ARE ramshackle so it is off and on and also this is one they hardly ever played live so to pull it out to even this standard is pretty fair, i pity anyone who doesnt feel the beatles, what a shit existence

  • Concerts with the girls screaming were just part of the times and I loved every minute of it. I really enjoy looking back at this old footage of the Beatle concerts. It just makes me glad that I was alive to witness all of the great times. Thank you for sharing this with us.

  • hit after hit after hit , fantastic .

  • I would never have heard of Justin Bieber if people weren't mentioning him in every fuckign video. IF YOU DON'T LIKE HIM STOP TALKING ABOUT HIM AND TALK ABOUT THIS VIDEO INSTEAD!

  • @Astbruchgefahr I'm the same.Every time I look at a beatles clip I hear his name:no wonder he's famous.

  • Oh my god.,you guys who have kick ass musical taste, are really going to argue about justin bieber?just don't,please..

  • 20 nr 1 hits in the us charts nowbody will ever top this never

  • @delmasa123 As I recall, Elvis had 30 # 1 hits...

  • @mattjackleroy Elvis had 17 number 1's. Paul McCartney combining solo, Beatles, and Wings had 30 total

  • @DELPHI1945 I think Presley may have had 18... One day, I need to look at the Beatles' number one songs...just curious whether Lennon or McC wrote the majority of them.

  • Why were you thinking about that during this video?

  • what a stupid girl!!! :| because of their screaming i can't hear the music...

  • amazing :) roll over beethoven was also great :)

  • Is it me or does John looked confused at times?

  • AARGH! They CUT IF OFF in the middle of George's shredding "Roll Over Beethoven". TRAGIC!

  • Comment removed

  • Would love to hear someone post here who was actually at this performance as a girl.

  • bravo

  • first 'grunge' stuff :)

  • Awesome video...Great music,...LOVE the music from the past!

  • AMAZING! ;-)

  • i just cant imagine all them beautiful women throwing all that pussy at you.i would be in heaven hear on earth.wow

  • I love Paul and Geroge's harmony almost as much as Paul and John. What a great song, one of my favorites.

  • Гениально!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • How can anyone dislike this video?

  • @lupitastowers72

    fake account

  • @spart1cus. You're obviously an idiot, with a tin ear and no taste in music whatsoever. Run along now, and go listen to some no-talent boy-toy like Justin Beiber, which I'm sure will be much more to your liking.
