  • This the best player in history, plus the most elusiveness player in history

  • Everyone in America knew who was getting the ball and look at what he accomplished. I will always be grateful for him not joining another team and even now still being involved with the Lions even though he has every reason to be bitter. I'm also glad he still has great health(He was always too quick to take the big hit) and If you look up his numbers, it is mind blowing. We are lucky to see him run in our lifetime

  • football is now a passing sport :(. I hope some new barry saunders comes back to bring back rushing to footbal

  • Chris johnson+Adrain peterson= Barry saunders

  • @k43412 Umm. I was thinking Chris Johnson+Maurice-Jones Drew=Barry Sanders

  • @dash132 well if we say the 2 best running backs in 2011 then its Mcoy+Maurice-jones drew

  • BEST RUNNING BACK EVER NO QUESTIONS ASKED!

  • Joe Buck still sucked in the 90's.

  • Who would hate Barry Sanders?? THE GREATEST

  • lion rock in 1980-90 Then now None

  • Some may hate Barry Sanders but they all respect him.

  • 4:17 124 yards, and berry sanders breaking tackles!!!!!!!

  • B. Sanders would have been a fantasy football BEAST!!!

  • lol Green Bay had no clue how to stop Barry

  • @JOESTEF20 You are 100% right about! As a Green Bay fan I saw him kill us for years! I know the Bears and the Bucs are also on The Barry Sanders highlight list!

  • how many times can he make green bay look like shit? god damn

  • That nigga real

  • the best rb in history

  • Thank you for this footage in its purest form.

  • I miss nostalgic players like this!!!

  • 7:54 2 cuts and 3 guys on the ground. That was legendary.

  • @kbotpop That was a thanksgiving game in 97 and might have been one of his best game as a pro. He did that the entire game 19 car,167 yds, 3TDs and we killed the Bears 55-20 on Thanksgiving. I remember it because it was such a great performance to see and my dad is a die hard Bear fan. I don't know if you are a Lions fan but that was one of the best days ever to be a Lions fan. Sorry for the life story, It's just cool that you gave props to that particular play

  • Three words you hear over and over in this video. "AMazing." "unbelievable." "History."

  • Omg I love back in tha day football

  • Not even close! LT in my eyes maybe the most complete running back the game has seen He had hands like marshall with the stats to prove it but could run in between the tackles 40 times a game. However he did have LORENZO NEAL for a lot of years arguably the best pure blocking full back ever.Barry needed no blocker but when he did get one he ran for 2,000 yds his 9th year in while other backs did it early..Every record in college Gave away the nfl AT rushing record insane highlightreel nuff said!

  • @foolioperez Well, I guess we'll never know who's better considering they didn't play on the exact same team rosters.

  • @kbotpop you may not no but i do!!

  • @foolioperez HATER

  • @DRock2847 no!!! just speak whats real

  • @foolioperez um barry is way better i mean he had no line or any blockers every yard he got was all him

  • @matthewb103 understatement by i agree

  • Nice to hear Marv Albert and Brent Musburger

  • Foolioperez I didn't say he he had a all pro line. But it wasn't as bad as you said. The main problem was it wasn't a power line like the cowboys' line was that blew people off the ball. It was more a line for pass blocking. I remember all the negative yardage plays he had. Play of that was the scheme too. They played more the chuck and duck ...err...run and shoot lol. No tight end most of the time.

  • @Deefreeze Well lets agree to disagree or maybe im not giving them enough credit and maybe your giving them too much

  • I'm fairly sure the tape is on fast forward when Barry gets the ball.

  • I love watching Barry Sanders run! Adrian Peterson doesnt even compare.

  • Oh and since I am here.... Many folks talk about Barry didn't have a line. Yes he did. I would rather have have Kevin Glover and Lomas Brown than Raiola and Jeff Sackus. People forgot Ultey would have gotten better if he didn't get hurt and Eric Andolsak(sp?) didnt get killed.

  • @Deefreeze His line did suck lomas was good as was glover but how many times were there multiple defenders in the backfield??? Pound for pound their line was mediocre at best two guys wasnt enough! Frankly im glad he didn't have that great of a line because it added to his legend....

  • I got a chance to actually say this to their faces before...but I want to say it here too. I was always really impressed with how hard Herman Moore and Brett Perriman blocked downfield on Barry's runs

  • :58 he schooled terrel buckley off the corner

  • 4.27 40 at ok st. his combine time was 4.37 but i read a story where he got out of the car w/o even warming up, ran it and that was that. he was prob doing sub 4.25 later in his career. speed demon freak

  • Best highlights thanks rocket

  • this is the first time ive seen barry get tackled

  • @ 0:55

he gave the defender a high five

  • After Watching this, and Being a Huge Adrian Peterson Fan... Sorry. Barry Sanders is 100000X better than AP. Barry sanders could run with any kind of offensive line. period.

  • Nice job with the video. You didn't mess with the clips. We get to see how it was. Thank you!

  • Thank you for leaving out the annoying music that usually comes with these highlight reels.

  • my god joe buck sucks

  • top 3 most talented athletes that ever existed; barry sanders, michael jordan, bo jackson

  • 5:08 Brett Farve before he became starter

  • @SpeedWarrior93 He was a starter then. That's why they say "you know that's some kind of respect" when he pats Barry on the head. They wouldn't say that if he were just some backup QB.

  • Lesean mccoy reminds me of Barry

  • LeSean McCoy looks so much like him when he runs.

  • thumbs up if gamefaqs sent u here

  • Best video on the internet imo. Sanders is a legend.

  • lmao Joe Buck. Still as boring as ever

  • Give him the same line that Emmit Smith had and those records would never get touched. The man was hamstrung by a weak team and still will go down as one of the top backs of all time.

  • Fucking impressive video. Thank you for posting.

  • incredible vision..........

  • @DjOnizZz18 INSANE VISION. He sets up blockers 20 yards down the field on the other sidelines. I dont know how anyone can watch this and not say he is the greatest ever, all the evidence is there. Walter Payton and OJ Simpson(who didnt do it long enough) are the only ones that can even put up arguments.

  • Great video. Do you have these games in their entirety?

I have a dvd of the 1997 Jets game (the one where he breaks 2000 yards in the season) which was not included in your otherwise amazing compilation.

  • One of my favorite things about barry sanders is that he did not celebrate after a touchdown..EVER. Respect for the game..

  • Best Highlight film of Barry ever! 1. I can actually see whats going on. 2. Holy shit! Barry is hella fast. Never realized how quick he really was. 3. why is his jersey so big? I think he would've been even greater if he did something so simple as wore a smaller jersey. I mean defenders are just clutching for dear life hoping to grab something and sometimes they got a hold of his jersey.

  • Thank you so much for posting this wonderful video.

Barry is a man's man and perfect role model for all who play the in the NFL.

Nobody runs like Sander's and nobody ever will.

Thank God for little Barry, little meaning humble.

  • Barry sanders choke slams the tackler at 0:47-0:49

  • Holy crap.... that series of moves he pulls @2:33 against the vikings are unbelievable (as accurately depicted by the announcer). It was only about an 8 yard gain, but his movement amidst that flurry of defenders is like that of a cheetah being pursued in close quarters by a bunch of humans without weapons.

  • the run at 1:23 is incredible!

  • I feel bad for Barry's cleats...... cuz dem cuts were brutal :)

  • In a word.....RIDICULOUS! This is one of the absolute best "Highlight" packages I've ever witnessed......of any athlete......at any time! I'm practically ashamed to admit I almost FORGOT just how good Barry Sanders truly was. This video is the equivalent of being "zapped" by a taser......my memory has been shocked back into focus.

  • @aliquippawill You really hit the nail on the head.

  • The way Barry ran he could have gone another 5 seasons.......maybe the last two as a scat back but he never sustained major injuries and he would have converted to an awesome 3rd down back.....coulda woulda shoulda broke every rushing record...

  • Finally a highlight video with out a stupid ass soundtrack.

  • best Barry Sanders video I have seen and best running back anyone has seen.

  • Thank you (thank you!) for leaving in the original broadcast audio. I can't stand the ones who take away the excitement of the moment and slather a terrible song on top of it.

  • I was just wondering where you get alot of these highlights because unfortunately I never got to see sanders play and I was looking to find some of his greatest games. Great highlights by the way!

  • @ 2:33..... If only this guy had a line.

  • this is awsome footage... no gay ass music, just the anouncers and barry shitting on people... just like the good ole days

  • @ 6:30

  • Nobody ever, ever in the history of the league had that kind of eceleration on his 2nd step.Nobody. He literally runs faster through the hole before it can close. In some cases there isn't going to be a hole but he runs faster than the development of the hole and hits a lane into the linebacker area. Unreal. Looking back on these highlights it's more obvious that there is a before and after affect. I haven't seen him in a while. Now I can clearly say. The best.

  • @2;30 WOW BEST EVA

  • haha feel bad for his back up. probably never got to play.

  • Best running back video on youtube. Great compilation of runs, it's actually in regular speed, and there's no stupid music. Hats off to you sir.

    Barry Sanders is the man.

  • i had him on my fantasy team that year when he had (4) td's on thanksgiving day.

i went on to win my league thanks to barry.

barry and marshall faulk fantasy football gold!

  • 3:43-3:55 It seemed like he was holding it a little. Then he let it loose, then continued to talk normally as if he had to wait for Barry to get to the endzone.

  • I love this video, shows Barry at his purest. I hate how announcers today say a back made one great cut. When Barry had to make great cuts just to get to the line of scrimmage, then made guys look silly with 3 more cuts on his way, to getting 10 yards, yet alone 50-80 yards.

  • Who was the penalty on at the end?

  • @psx2514 the penalty was on the right tackle for holding. so the play was called back. (could have not been called) That run was the next possesion play after barry's previous run of 73 yards. DAmn shame. It would have set a record to have had a 73 yard td run followed by a 80 yard td run, in less than a minute of game play. ( look at the clock) I was watching this game with my dad, and he started screeming at the TV "GO BARRY GO "cuz he was so excited, during the second run.

  • I swear. Pat Summerall is the most boring announcer ever. So is the younger version of him, Joe Buck.

  • some of these receiver blocks are pretty great to watch.

  • Best highlight with commentators!! Barry was just increidible!!

  • I had this one Bears game taped where Barry made this famous 50 yard TD where he spins off Singletary and hops over another Bear for the score. That was a great run but he had actually made another one that was even more spectacular earlier that game for only 10 yards that was similar to this run against the Vikings at 2:37.

The color commentator couldn't believe it and had made some remarks about how there weren't things at NASA that could reproduce what Barry was doing. I lost that tape!:(

  • The run at 2:37 is mind numbing. I wish it had been shot in HD so that people could truly appreciate how good he was. In my opinion some of his best runs were for 10 yards and under.

  • barry is the best RB ever!!! enough said.

  • There is no one who runs like this in the league today. Don't get me wrong, the league is full of very talented running backs... but no one can make something out of nothing like this guy did and make it look ridiculously easy. The play starting at 8:25 .... how the hell did he even squeeze in there? I literally busted out laughing.

  • I personally thought in 98 he was best he was. Stats wise no but that's down to the team around him. Which was poor that year. Agreed he got quicker with age. Unusual for a back but Barry was one of a kind.

  • if any fan of barry has noticed, he got faster as he got older, he had a good 5 years left in him too, its a shame

  • Yep that was John Randle.

  • Pause the highlight reel at 2:40....Whomever #93 was for the Vikings (John Randle, maybe? I don't know) was trying to do his best pre-Brian Dawkins flying tackle impersonation....but failed epically....LMAO

  • Thank you so much for this! It's nice to have a Barry highlight video with the real commentary and not shitty music.

  • No probs. There are alot of nfl fans who didnt get to see Sanders games. There are lots of highlights in slow motion, but not many from the original broadcasts . Hopefully my highlights can give those who didnt see him back then, a better idea of how good he was.

  • @rocket26a YOU DAMN RIGHT.....THE BEST HIGHLIGHT REEL ON YOUTUBE!! i know first hand ive watched everyone of them..lol... by the way what other RB past or present has this amount of body control..(2:37)

  • @foolioperez that run gained only 10 yds and may be one of the greatest runs of all time. Your right Barrys balance, footwork, vision can never be duplicated. People always talk records for Payton and Emmitt but Barry owns most of them except for most rushing yds and touchdowns but Barry played 3 years less than Payton and 5 years less than Emmitt. If he would have played as long as Emmitt his stats would truly be untouchable

  • @foolioperez Ladainian Tomlinson in his prime is equal to Barry in his prime.

  • @foolioperez theirs a new guy on the lions that have somethin close to what barry has

  • @jesussavior1364 lol lol lol... i cant stop laughing im crying right now!! You made my week buddy thanks for the chuckle!

  • @foolioperez alright take a look at jahvid best college highlights.

  • @jesussavior1364 good runner but not even in the same league!

  • @foolioperez javid is the closes thing to berry. take a look at his college highlights

  • @jesussavior1364 again good runner great speed and great open field cuts however........

  • @foolioperez yea he has amazing moves but he isnt barry

  • awesome job! appreciate the video.

  • best rb ever. hands down. hope we draft his son when the time comes too. finally do right by them.

  • 2:37 and 7:56 is absolutely ridiculous..

  • Smooth!

  • Best football player I seen in my time...........

  • @cory180473 god?

  • amazing videos man, seriously appreciate it, finally can see everything in normal speed

  • Barry's playing on All Madden, whilst everyone else is on Rookie.

  • Did he fake no one at 8:30

  • @notafaker wtf no lol

  • "Dean always said, 'I don't believe in God, but I'm afraid of him.'

Well I do believe in God, and I'm afraid of Barry Sanders."

  • the juke @1:26 on #42 looks better in game time
