  • i got myself a sega cd model 1 version i can't wait to play and my terminator and phantasy star games ^_^

  • Game sayd arcade classics... Wonder if its Golden axe arcade.. hmm. Big diff. If so im buying it.

  • Are those sounds same that in the cartridge version, but just with higher quality?

  • Sounds much better on Sega CD to be fair.

  • It's also worth noting their cries are more feminine than Blaze's, same on all SOR games I think. which is interesting. Not sure what I think about the Sega CD version sounds. It's different I guess. The sound in the SOR series is always A+ good.

  • I played the Sega CD version first (it was my friend's)...and then 6 months later when I got the cartridge, I didn't notice these differences. Wow!

  • Ilove this game :P

Sega MegaDrive 2, Great times :P

    Voice 5 and 6 LOOL

    A Bitch screaming

  • @I8COOKIES2 Voice 5 is blaze on death / energy bar depleted .. voice 6 is one of the female ('crooked police', hired dominatrix, 'guard control' or whatever you want to think of them as) on death / energy bar depleted. So yes you are right, a bitch screaming. Being a SOR fan I just thought I'd clear those little details up. >.>

  • This version sucks. I personally like the Genesis version MUCH MUCH more. Especially the noise the bosses make when they die. GROMP!

  • Which version are the graphics better in?

  • they're the same on both versions.

  • too bad they didnt put SOR 2 or 3 on cd as well =(

  • In my opinion Axel's "UOOH!" would fit better with Adam, and Adam's "AAAAAH!" would fit better with Axel.

I got this compilation, it was really difficult for me to find it

  • its negligible

  • the cd version is better then the original

  • Seems to be the same as the original Genesis music

  • No it's not! That is 10X better then the Genesis version! The Genesis version had all the voices sounding extremely scratchy. The music is greatly improved too.

  • That is true, but we all have to admit it is still basically the same game

  • @JMFSpike No, the music is the same on all versions. The only differences you might hear depend on your setup (model 2 vs model 2 via SCD), not the game itself. Play the game on a model 1 and it will sound as it is supposed to sound.

  • @Christuserloeser I know. I'm talking about the quality of the sound and music, and how it's much much better on CD.

  • @JMFSpike The music for Streets of Rage isn't stored on the CD. It's FM generated by the Mega Drive / Genesis sound chip.

  • @Christuserloeser Oh, I see. I wonder why they didn't just do it that way for the original cartridge version then.

  • @JMFSpike The cartridge version has the exact same sound. The only difference is the voice samples.
