TerraLUX TLE 300M MiniStar30 Maglite LED Upgrade

... Well on my maglite holster and carry my led lenser p17 in a "niteize" "grip and clip" to keep my hands warm in cold weather on patrols as well as my led lenser p7 and led lenser p14 on my belt as well for emergency backups.

I mainly use my p17 and don't use my mag charger with terralux 220 lumen upgrade or my streamlight stinger xt with terralux 200 lumen upgrade led or my maglite 3d for work anymore.

I am hoping to buy a led lenser x21 or x22 soon as well when I can afford it.

I have this led upgrade module and it's great.

I have a 2d maglite that I use it with the oscardelta 18650 converter kit, or i can put it in either my 4d maglite using normal alkaline's or my 5d maglite with alkaline batteries, but it runs brightest in my 2d maglite with the oscardelta 18650 converter kit and 2x 3600 mah 18650 protected ultrafire lithium ion batteries and is much brighter than my led lenser P17 torch, but as I work security, I carry the 2d (maglite SAR - Search and Rescue) as

@paintballerzlbr I don't think so but there exists an upgrade for bringing your 3D to a 4D cell. Look for XCapeCap D-cell tube extender.

This just means that a 6D can be converted to a 7 or 8. LOL

You may be able to use 4 C cells in a 3 D Maglite to make it work properly but won't work to its full potential with just 3 D cells - Voltage too low

Hi, only with a Oscar Delta 2D to 6AA battery converter or a soon to be available Oscar Delta 2D to 18650 battery convertor (the voltage from two standard D cells is too low). The TLE-300M has now been replaced with the TLE-300M-EX which has 3 modes and is brighter.

I have some 3 D cell maglites I may upgrade but I here that some of the uogrades turn blue when they get hot. Maglite makes an upgrade too... What do you recomend for brightness and runtime in the 3 D cell maglites?

Hi, I would go for the TerraLUX upgrade over the Maglite one as the heatsink is better, and it is brighter. If you have a big budget you could also look at the Malkoff LED dropins.

Hi, about two or three hours. I use some very high capacity rechargeable D cells, 12000 mAh the run time with those is up to 5 hours. Uses 12 watts.

so is that an upgraded LED maglite or did u add the three bulbs or what? is the baseline one a normal maglite or an LED maglite? whats better a standard maglite or a standard maglite LED and which upgrades better?

Baselite one is a normal 4D Maglite with normal incandescent bulb, upgraded one is a 4D with a TLE-300M instead of normal bulb.

What exactly has been done to the upgraded Maglite? I have a Maglite 3D and want to upgrade it to an LED, what do I need (if possible) to make it like the one in your video?

Hi, the TLE-300M fits only in the larger Maglite torches 4 to 6 cell, but you can use a TerraLUX TLE-6EXB for 2 to 3 D cell Maglite.

Nice to see that your using half dead batteries in the incand! My 4d with the Krypton is even brighter then that. The Terralux is impressive though, too bad I cant afford it.

Fully charged batteries in both torches to get a fair comparison. The camera in video mode is not as effective as the human eye for night vision - both torches are brighter than what the video shows.

hey buddy I have the 4D with the xenon bulb upgrade and is very bright. You are using new batteries? the difference is extremely if you are using new cells is a good comparison video. Thanks

Yes batteries are new in both. The camera is not as effective as human night vision at showing light in video mode so they are even brighter than what the video shows.
